yes this year onwards sibm plans to introduce the sectional cut offs...however we have to work hard equally in all sections as well as aim for an above average overalls..:bigups:
if aiming for other institutes like scmhrd..nd others under snap

My X score is 84%
My XII score is 84%
I did my B.com (with computer application) and my score is 89%

I have taken part in table tennis,volleyball and other sports in district and division level, I have captained my school sports team, I have been a part of organizing committee in various events. I dont have any work experience though but I am looking after my dad's business in Chennai. Can you please comment on this profile? Do I stand a good chance or just an average chance?

Also with SNAP changing to sectional cut offs this time what you think will be a decent number of attempts in each section?

Did SNAP had same weightage for reasoning questions in the previous years paper too? Also I havent bought SIBM prospectous thought of buying it after writing the exam so can you please tell me do we have to apply separately for different programs in SIBM? Also how good is MBA Marcom and how is the placement records for that program?

Hi,
I can undestand your anxieties. The preparation for an entrance exam has to be very thorough, just 21 days is too short. These last days generally should be left for a revision of your preparation. These days you can prepare by diligently reading at least 1 general newspaper and 1 business newspaper daily. You can also browse through national and internatiol sites so as to keep yourself abreast of the latest. Lastly, just relax as tension can sap your energy. Best of luck.

Hi Shyam,
I am sorry to say you will not be eligible to SIBM as our rules are fairly rigid on this point of passing graduation in one sitting. wish you the best of luck in your search.

Hi i have got a query !

I completed my bachelors in computer application (full time) in june 2005 whereas i was supposed to complete my degree in june 2004. The problem was i got jaundice so had to clear my back logs in the next year.So obviously i didnt clear the exams in one sitting rite.So plz clarify if i should refrain myself from applying to the institute
And morever i have a gap year after that too.

I have already put this question before but I believe you may have missed it, so I believe this would get your attention.

First of all I need to thank you for taking time off your busy schedule to answer our queries. It might be especially irritating for you to have puys ask the same question again and again (including me for that matter), but I haven't seen a single message of yours which betrays any frustration, so hats off to your patience.

I went through your earlier posts about eligibility with respect to completion of graduation in one sitting and I would like to clarify my eligibility for SIBM.

I took Five years to complete my engineering which is normally of 4-year duration. However my break is between my second and third year, that is, I have passed my graduation exam (final year) in one sitting with 57.8%. I would like to reiterate that I have experience of more than 1 year as of now in sales, where I was managing a team of 7 people coupled with very good extra-curricular activities. So will the one blemish make me ineligible, or the fact that I have passed the final qualifying exam in one sitting help me get considered?

I want to ask that whether SIBM give the call to OBC candidate's for GD/PI out of merit list? since last year SCIT give the call to OBC candidate's for GD/PI. and one more thing more i want to asked whether there is any cutoff for every section which is required to clear to get call or overall cutoff will make a call?

Hello Sir,
I will be writing SNAP this year and have already bought the SIBM appln form and prospectus. I have secured 79.2 in Xth and 86.2 in XIIth. Also in Engg I have secured 72.2 with out any back logs and distinction in 5 semesters and first class in the other three. Also I have 16 months of work ex in a top consumer electronics company based in Japan.
However the problem for me is that I finished my XIIth in 1999, and I started engg only in 2002. Due to some unavoidable circumstances I lost out on 3 years. Will I be eligible for SIBM and if I am will it adversely affect my chances of getting in compared to normal students.

I want to ask that Screening Test - Placements for the students. As i read this section in prospects i make me in doubt about my academics, sir my academics is not so good enough i have
10th - 70.4%
12th - 45%
BCA - 68%


so please tell me sir whether this can cause in my placements if i get selected in SIBM. since every company have there eligibility criteria for selection for IT students as i know. please tell me about this.
