Which is a better place to join the coaching for CAT, in Madhapur Hyderabad - Career launcher or IMS?

Hi Consultant

I have MBA offer from IIT Kharagpur this season

Goal: To start a start-up on an idea I already have

I have the following queries-

1) If I don't join MBA, will I ever be able(say in 2-3 years) to create a profile suitable for top 15 colleges across US, Europe or Asia? If yes what are the steps I should take ahead apart from excellent GMAT?

2) If I join MBA at IIT Kharagpur, what is the way ahead. Will it help me create a stronger application in the future to these colleges. OR Are there any advanced management courses in these universities that will be more relevant than MBA at that time?

Again my Goal is to do work that matters in the form of a start-up. I think that a MBA from a top university will help me maximize the impact, upgrade me (in attitude, personality and approach) and increase the chances of my success.

Hi guys,

I am planning to apply to top MBA colleges in US for 2016 entry. I have a 730 in GMAT and good academics in 10th, 12th (90% and above), and college (B.Tech). I have a work ex of 1.8 years in an IT consulting firm.

Should I be applying on my own or should I take professional help for the admission process?

Hi. I'm writing the GMAT next Sunday. Trying to pin down the 5 names I would choose to send scores to at the beginning of the test. I want to ask, for someone with a what I'd consider 'decent' profile (overview below), what are some of the top MBA schools that are friendlier towards applicants with about 2 years of experience. As I am scanning class-profiles, most seem to average at around 4.

One of the things I have learned in my corporate stint is that I'm never going to be happy in a conventional white-collar job in a big corp. I have always liked dabbling with multiple things at a time, meeting different people, creative brainstorming sessions, and working like a think-tank. Hence, my prime post-MBA career goals (vital to make the selection, I believe) are: 1) To become an entrepreneur 2) To take social-entrepreneurial initiatives, particularly for women in tech (global) and for those in underprivileged conditions (back home) 3) Much later in life, to become an author. Not sure how an MBA would help here, but I think it would, being a generic/wide-scope undertaking
