Ask a Consultant! - GMAT/GRE Only

I am a B-Tech 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student from NIT-Surat. I want to know about the fields that people pursue when they go for their M.S. I have very little idea about it, and i am of the thought that M.S is more about research in a specific than anything else. Please throw some light on this.

which is good for verbal preparation egmat, crackverbal, jambogree or any other? please guide..........

Hi! Gave CAT few years back and scored quite well in quant. Now, when I look at GMAT quant, it definitely seems doable. Verbal is another story:). It was never my strongest area in CAT and GMAT looks a couple of steps ahead in terms of verbal:).

Any suggestions on how to prepare for verbal portion of GMAT specifically?

Are there any colleges outside India which offer decent MBA degree at fees comparable to Indian colleges?

B.Com(Computers)

Work Exp - 2yrs as Junior Manager in an ad agency.Went on a business trip with similar people from different agencies. What was meant as a Industry meet trip turned out to be a joy trip, sadly. But did get to know some inner workings of the industry.

Extra curricular activities include managing the sister IT company of the Ad Agency for two hours a day(when the old manager there goes home early, daily) .So while I cannot really code,I am familiar with deploying servers, handling them,Digital Marketing, creating workflows for applications, websites,CRM's, etc

Rather bare bones,I know, but I got 80 percentile in CAT in the first attempt with zero preparation.

What should my aim be.Are the IIM's/ISB's too high an aim, considering my profile?

Hi,

I have completed my B.Tech from NIT Trichy, EEE branch in 2012 and I have a CGPA of 6.89.

My 10th score is 79.3% and 12th 77%.

Currently I am working with a product based company and this July I will be completing 3 years of professional life.

I want to pursue MBA program for my Master. So, I just want to know is it the right time to appear for GMAT and apply for MBA from Institutes like ISB, NUS, NTU etc. Will a GMAT score of 700+ is enough for getting into ISB and others considering the work experiences and grad score that I have?
