i need to know what kinda questions do they ask. do i need to prepare? do i need to wear formals? do i need to look studious?? can i maaro a few peejays i never ever gave an interview before. im all butterflies. HELP ME JUNTA
Hey APS .. I will also be applying to Rotman but couldnt make the Nov 15 deadline for interviews.. Please keep us posted on how the interview goes . Will surely help us lesser mortals in preparing for our interviews 😉 .. Also do you have any idea if they will be scheduling interviews in person for applicants who submit their application later ?

if u apply later, then they wudnt schedule interviews fr all. what i mean is...if u apply early and they are coming to ur country after ur application has reached em, they try to make sure they accomodate ur interview in their schedule. but late applicants...well they are more at the ad com's mercy..they wont bother to interview most as they have recieved more applications and have lesser time to arrange things.
apply early to schools u want the most. rest can come later.
p.s. : mostly interviews are on phone or at the max with alumii...interviews in person with ad com ppl are there only when they come visiting fr fairs and events.

Why dont u naturally let it die down. Anyway it is against the sharing attitude to not share your interview experience in detail. It might help some other soul sometime later.
It would be just great if you can post a detailed interview experience.

well...i had decided to put in the interview experience under a thread wid a more apt heading...so that more ppl who need that info wud know where to find it. but anyways...ill put it right here right now...
day 1.. interview at 8 30 .. reached at 8 15... the staff at taj mansingh (new delhi) told me that interviews happening downstairs in one of the conference rooms.... kept waiting and waiting...8 :50...was worried...went up to the main lobby and to my horror...the interviews were already happening.
waited fr the guy giving intervew to finish...then another guy just marched right in!! damn my bad luck. after 1 and half hours... went up to the ad com lady... told her the problem etc...said she had one opening the next day. somewhat relieved.
with great difficulty i cud arrange to get someone fil in fr me at my workplace (.... I MENTION ALL THIS SO THAT U WOULD REALISE THAT EVEN AD COM GUYS UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEMS THAT U CUD GO THROUGH AND THEY ARE SYMPATHETIC TOWARDS THEM. )
the lady acknowledged my efforts etc. and so the interview began. let me tell u a few q uestions....
- why are there so many doctors turning to mba?? ( i was amazed at this as i thot i was amongst the very few..but she said she had intervewed two more before me!!) did some general BAK BAK
- why rotman.. etc...
- what do u wanna do in future etc
- then she was getting into some things about racialism in uk and why suddenly lots of indians moving from there..( i mentioned my sister living in uk at some point of time...and she asked does she like it.. and etc)
- one question that really cought me unaware was.. what is it that u have not done yet and which u would not be able to ever do again
this i didnt know how to answer...i babbled something about..there is time fr everything or some such...but frankly i wasnt impressed with myself.
- then the "what do u wanna ask me thingy...."
i did not prepare fr the interview ...just got up wore a grey suit with tie and went right fr it. bad idea...shudve prepared fr some questions like what do u wanna ask us.
all those who are reading this...i suggest plz prepare somebit at least..
