In the name of CAT Results
So this particular company is spending real money to show this particular ad:

Which takes you to this particular link -
http://www.shiksha.com/customizedmmp/mmp/templateForm/1006
In case the link is not accessible, this is the screenshot:

As the link reads, you know who owns and launched that page.
Wow, this almost looks like the official CAT website. But it's NOT.
This is blatant stealing and fraud.
Let me explain you why:
1. There's a screenshot of the actual CAT website - https://iimcat.ac.in
2. The information they are asking is in NO WAY required to view your CAT results.
3. They superimposed "their" form on top of CAT website screenshot to make it look like you need to give all that information to view your CAT results.
Do you know, who else uses screens like this - Phishing websites which steal your banking passwords and steal money from your account. It's rampant out there -
http://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/BS_PressReleaseDisplay.aspx?prid=26506
Now, why is this fraud?
Did they conduct the CAT exam?
Did they "actually" provide you your CAT result?
Did they "explicitly" tell you that they won't be giving your your CAT results but will be sharing your information with their clients?
They take your information with the pretext of giving you your CAT results, when infact even the "real" CAT Results website doesn't even ask you all that information.
Your phone number? Your residence city? Your year of passing?
Really? I don't think even CAT registration form had so many fields.
"Hum aapko bacche denge".
