Classes 6 days a week. Begin at 8.40 AM. Closing time varies. Schedule will be hectic but you will learn to manage. You wud love this place called planet Ettimadai if you come with an open mind and stay here with an open mind. Placements will never be a problem, so leave those worries before you start for ASB. Will keep posting you more abt this beautiful campus from this weekend as all ASBians are busy with end term exams..

Seniors, pls sprinkle some light on campus life, hostel, cost of living, dress codes etc....In short, pls get us in touch with Amrita's Environment....

its better to pay by DD. cash is also acceptable at the offce(i saw the option in the recpt)... i payd fees at CBE office

happy to note everybody is enthu about asb :

ettimadai is a sleepy village between cbe and palakkad. the campus is beautiful and close to the railway station. Amrita has done a marvellous job transforming a wasteland into paradise. :thumbsup:

Coming to academics, u may not find things to be much better than other local MBA programs, so dont think that ASB is special. Administration quality is ppor, and their dirty politics has driven away many sincere faculty to IIM, Xavier Institute of Management, and other more prestigious places. It has reached the point where nobody who is any good wants to work at ASB anymore..

Amma's name and divinity still draws some sincere and committed fculty from abroad.. they arrive on sabbatical leave to try and imporve things, but quickly run away from the stench.

ASB is sinking fast . .. for amrita's sake lets hope that the new dean cleans up the dirty politics and does not end up adding to it. The outlook so far is not good- he also seems to be superficial who doesn't analyse things deeply or carefully.

from what i hear, main politics at ASB is harassing capable &sincere; faculti, not giving them due credit, encouragement, or salary - even playing dirty to spoil their chances of employment with other institutions.

if u enqujire u will find that good faculti have left ASB to join places like IIM Lucknow, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, et. htese were awesome people who were doing actual research and publishing in international journals, not indulging in power games. They were very popular with the students, teaching good courses. They should never have been let go. They got sick of ASB politics and ran away.

is it any wonder that asb is always short of faculty? They have to find temprorary people to teach most courses, whos motivation levels maynot be as high. Especially
because these temprorary faculty are paid like beggars and treated badly.

so mebbe ASB is not serious about quality??
