Reliance 3G ad.. now what was is it supposed to mean.. just plain dumb.. With Vodafone coming out with such a good ad, these guys atleast have to try a lil bit more to be creative..
hey would any body here like to share his opinion on commercial viability of these two ads
docomo(with jingle) or zoozo (vodafone)

Buddy,
The commercial viability of these ads are good.. As there is no cost of celebrities i feel such ads are really cost effective... Moreover, the zoozoo ad has made an impact in public mind.. Plus I feel the ads from Vodafone are becoming better by day.. The ad of Vodafone 'Everybody is welcome is really effective for Mobile number portability. And compare it with the Idea's mobile number portability.. The huge cost of Abhisekh, which makes Idea ads costlier..
If you look at the Vodafone ads, they have reduced the celebrities in Ads and I feel it is the way to go in cost sensitive industry like Tele-communication and cost sensitive market like India..
PS: personally I don't love the zoozoo ads but don't hate also..

yes exactly....since the MNP has come intoa ction,,, Voda is a winner all the way... its superb marketing has left idea n airtel stumped...so much so that airtel has now hired the marketing director of HUL to pump up its sales....
waht i feel is that now,,, merely having a celeb does not add value... people are working in and out to compete with Vodafone...
No Idea.. Get Idea

Its even becomin a bad joke as people have started using it..
HUNGAMA.COM
gussa aata hai yeh adt. dekh ke toh!!!
yes..thedi ungli and all that stuff is damn irritating, a very lame and forced logical connection..ex:- dhonis helicpter shot..are they freaking out of their mind?? it shows nothing, no logic.
ads should be appealing- now a days ad gurus think taht the only way to appeal to the emotions is by introducing a cute kid in the ad..making him/her cry a bit..to make an appeal..damn..thats terribly bad..see the cadbury kuch meetha ho jaye ad...i dont like this ad coz of its cliched style/no creativity/....try something better
Ad I liked in recent times would be the OREO ad :)
Although nothing new in it, it still is pretty good than the ads that are shown nowadays. The kid is suppa-cute:cheerio:
Hi Puys
The recent advertisement of Close-up in which shahid is sleepy..he uses close up and then trumpet starts playing ..den all his frens like viru n all get up..den enters Genelia :P
Pathetically pathetic
Can anyone guess what the fight between the couple was about in the Aircel ad ??
Who can forget Akshay adds for Thums up , where he falls from mountain n fights with crocko. , i hate these adds
sledge SaysCan anyone guess what the fight between the couple was about in the Aircel ad ??
Ofcourse..it isn't tough at all...The girl wanted to teach in a rural school & the boy wanted to settle in a big city (probably outside India) obviously inspired from the movie 'Swades'
. So they break up.Then the boy misses the girl very much & decides to come back.
Another irritating ad that has caught my eye is the one "Jinjola Powder".

There's also an Ad of Fairness cream for men starring Shahrukh which has a very rural flavour. Not at all interesting
.

nice perspective...i think i framed my question in wrong words.. what i actually want to ask is ..in your opinion which ad will generate more sales?...i know it depends from person to person but i remember when they launched docomo ,the initial ad contained only one word 'docomo' with that catchy jingle & there were so many enquiries in different outlets for sims...as i have one out let near my place...because docomo enjoyed the top of the mind recall..but in case of zoozo no doubt its v.creative but i doubt if i would ask for vodaphone sim incase i want to get one? the point is as per Mr. ogilvy (father of advt) the ad which does not generate sales is not an ad at all.....
but i still want them to run zoozo ads..

wat abt lava mobile....SORRY I HAVE NO CHANGE...n then SUREX
1. COCO COLA--brrrrrrr........oh god what an irritating add
.......means how on earth can someone even think to make an add like that.......infact i haven't drank coco-cola after that add....
........whenever they say brrrrrrrrr........i feel like thrashing them to pulp....
2.AIRTEL- kareena's ''dil jo chahe paas laye''.........the way she says ''don't stop, don't stop'' is damn irritating......feels like slapping her continuously..without stopping.....

........add to it the overly irritating voice of saif...
3. lava mobile--it seems these kinds of add makers don't have families with them..
4.There is one another add..in which one woman comes and start shedding her clothes..and then go into the bath tub...and in the end it is shown that it is an add of some car
.......no logic at all......
p.s- all above are personal opinion and it may vary from person to person....

Ads like these are a conspiracy against our senses.
How on earth these ad-making guys believe that they'll serve any S$#% to us and we'll take it

.and the LAVA ad,well.. they are only showing the things we youth(freaked ones) would love to happen to us...Blame that on the obsession of guys with no-brainer TV shows like MTV roadies .
. moreover she is pretending like the only Diva alive on this earth... her lips look as if she went to the surgeon n told him to fill shit in them,,,,
so that they may look puffy... eewwwwwhow can they even think of selling a drink any giving it a sexual connotation

pervert people i must say...
I hope that in purview of this thread comes all the ads...even the ads being aired on Radio....
Delhiites....during the past month tuned to the radio..must have listened to One Shiela DIkshit Ad...in which she wishes All the Best to all Board appearing students....The tone of the ad is worrisome....and i am sure it sends more people into depression and nothing else...this ad is continuing for past 3-4 years...on the govt cost...that is our money...which tells us to give us best in CBSE.....there is absolutely zero creativity in the ad...and it makes private radio stations sound like sarkari bhopus
I hate this ad wholly...
Anybody who has listened to this will understand

I wish good ol days...when political jingles were amazing...
I remember one....
Hayee mehngayi hayeee mehngayi...
tu kaha se hai aayi??
Mehngayi :- Mai hu mehngayi ...Mai hu Mehngayi
Mujhe BJP hai layeee...(This was at the height of onion crisis in Delhi, which led to demise of BJP in Delhi)
