i just saw this ad on tv....Reliance mobile...and as i was cursing the creative director..i see this thread on pagalguy.....perfect thread to vent ur irritation over wanting to tolerate some illogical and badly made clips by egg heads.
btw this ad features a girl who takes her bf to her house . Everyone in the house has a suffix mobile...like mummy mobile ...papa mobile...ramu mobile...and all chatting on the phone....
the guy then removes his mobile and says...I am also XX.mobile.....
and then there is this countenance of acceptance of the guy in their family.........
what a piece of bull droppings!!!!....

worst ads 1) visa: mind and body heart n soul.. i donno which part i hate the most, mostly all of it. 2) vodafone: 3 chics singing pehla nasha.. 3) its off air now.those coke ads with aamir khan in it were really repulsive 4) dish tv: shah rukh khan on the terrace sitting on some dish antenna best ads 1) nokia n82 or something.. its got amazing lines in it.. the one with the storytelling tagline 2) yellow yellow dirty fellow, white white orbit white. anyone remember those old ads?? ' aayiye aayiye deedika ji... leejiye aapka sab saman tayar hai... arre ye nahi woh.. par aap to woh hamesha pehle waali tikiya.. leti thi.. par agar wohi damon mein mile.. to koi woh kyu le.. ye na le... maaan gaye.. kise? .. aapki baat ki kasar.. aur nirma super dono ko! Agreed. The AD is completely senseless from YOUR and MY point of view. Even I used to find it very "lame".. ;)
BUT think of the middle-class housewife.... It would make a lot of sense for her.. and she would be able to appreciate and relate to it a lot better than you and I could... in fact the ad is TARGETTED at people / houswife's like her.. who would be friendly with their neighbourhood grocery store-keeper..
IMHO, the NIRMA SUPER ad is wonderful.. not because it is "cool" or "sensible"... but because it is able to achieve what it set out to do.. and achieve it well!
