Hey,well I have read everything about the school and courses,duration,fess and all.I would like to know a little about the placement report of the last batch.

Thank you sir.

@abeerash

Thank you for your question.

As MYRA is a new institution and our Founding Batch is set to start in July of 2013, we don't have a placement record from previous years.

However, we do understand your concerns and our focused approach to career guidance ensures that you will secure intellectually and financially rewarding placements. Resume workshops, mock interviews, recruiting events, and access to our faculty's robust industry networks are some features of MYRA's dedicated placement cell. We have partnerships with more than 20 companies including HDFC, Royal Bank of Scotland, ITC, Punj Lloyd, American Express etc and we are currently in talks with various other companies. Our Dean, Prof. Rajiv Sinha leads our placement initiatives.

All this being said, one of MYRA's strengths is its highly distinguished global faculty line-up. And the one key thing that a global faculty brings (in addition to a solid knowledge base and diverse perspectives) is an extremely powerful network.

Consider, for example:

Dr. Amrita Dhillon (University of Warwick) who is a political economist and consults for the World Bank.

Dr. Sreedhar Bharath (Arizona State University) who regularly consults for JP Morgan, New York - Emerging Markets Group and UBS, Zurich - Merger Strategy Evaluation.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta (Michigan State University) who is an esteemed consultant for the "Big Four" public accounting firms.

Dr. Rajiv Sinha (Arizona State University and MYRA dean) who is a marketing guru and whose personal client list includes American Express, LG, Motorola, AT&T;, Toyota, and Apple.

Now, consider how valuable a job reference from any one of these professors would be at any point in your careers.

Everyone on our faculty line-up and governing board are highly committed and enthusiastic about seeing MYRA take off. And they all realize that securing sought after placements for students is of the utmost importance. After all, the professional success of our first batch of students is our success as a young institution.

To learn more about MYRA's customized placement services or our faculty line-up, have a look at our newly released eBrochure: http://www.myra.ac.in/wp-content/themes/myra/pdf/MYRABrochure2012.pdf

@MYRAadmissions Thank you for that detailed answer there.I will see you at the QS world MBA tour :)

@MYRAadmissions Also sir,if it's not too much to ask,will you be able to provide me with a few profiles and the contact details of the current students studying as the first batch must have already completed their first year.

is it aitc approved? and wats abut its afflication?

@abeerash

Just to clarify (and as mentioned earlier), our first batch will be starting at MYRA in July 2013.
But our staff in the Admissions Office would be happy to speak to you regarding MYRA if you'd like.

Although MYRA's classes are yet to commence, we have already admitted quite a few students for the next year – and we have lined up some great events which these prospective students are encouraged to attend and meet each other at.

One event is "Governance and the Political Economy" – a workshop hosted by MYRA in collaboration with the University of Warwick and the Association of Public Economies. The workshop brings together leading economists, political scientists, and policy makers to address some of the most pressing questions of our time. (Dec 17-18, 2012)

Another event is "Reverse Innovation" – a lecture by Prof. Vijay Govindarajan from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, USA, who is widely regarded as one of the world's leading experts on strategy and innovation and is ranked #3 on the Thinkers50 list of the world's most influential business thinkers. This lecture will be the first event in the MYRA Distinguished Lecture Series and will also be part of the launch of the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Business Enterprises. (Jan 6, 2013)

To know more about all the forthcoming events at the MYRA School of Business please visit: www.myra.ac.in/all-events/
We'd love to have more prospective students attend!

@MYRAadmissions Oh okay,sorry for misreading the previous post.i saw a few threads on this website about the MBA batch which was supposed to start last year.What happened to that batch and why it couldn't commence,if you don't mind me asking that is.
@kimi21 Yes. MYRA offers an AICTE approved two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management ( PGDM) programme. It is not affiliated to any university. It is an autonomous institute. We have associations and affiliations with Arizona State University and Catolica Lisbon for student exchange programmes and executive education. For more details visit :http://myra.ac.in/international-affiliations
@abeerash . We do not mind answering your questions. Yes, earlier we had plans of starting our PGDM Programme in 2012. However due to various reasons, including the delay in getting the official letter of approval from AICTE and the completion of the entire campus we did not start. Our campus was launched by Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC on November 4, 2012 (http://myra.ac.in/myra-campus-lauch-report) and we are now ready to admit our founding batch of the two year AICTE approved PGDM and one year PGPX programme.

I have submitted my application and I was selected for interview but it didnt happen for some reasons. Now how will I know when it will happen. I got a call from Priya herself

In the application form,should I opt fot my cat score?
The results are not yet out,so should I be updating the score later?

@abeerash
If you'd like to apply before the December 14th first cycle deadline (and avail the application fee waiver), you can mention in your application that you have taken CAT but are awaiting your score. Your application will be processed as soon as it is received 창€“ but the Admissions Office will take the final call only once your CAT results are in. Once you get your results, do send a mail to [email protected]

@linchin Great to know you have submitted your application. The easiest way to coordinate the rescheduling of the interview is to send a mail to [email protected] or contact the Admissions Office at +91 9632783333. We will work with you to reschedule it for a mutually convenient time :)
@MYRAadmissions Nothing about the waiver of the application fee is mentioned.
@abeerash We have waived the INR 1000 application fee for all applicants who apply during Cycle 1 (on or before December 14, 2012). Do visit http://www.myra.ac.in/apply/
MYRAadmissions hi i have also come across your school via various posts, the 2 things that i want to know from you is,firstly there is only one option for giving the score what about the students who are giving multiple examinations and wishing to share marks of all the results so it you could select the best out of it. secondly, sorry to frame it like this but if could get an idea of the salaries that we could be getting once we graduate from school or at least expected average salary for the batch, it would be really helpful as we can plan our return on investment
@abhinavaarya

Thank you for your interest in MYRA School of Business. Good to know that you have done your research about us. :)

To answer your queries:
1) We accept GMAT/CAT/XAT/GRE scores. In case of a student having multiple scores, he/she has to pick the best score with which they would like to apply. If you would like us to know your other scores, you can mail them to [email protected].

2) Regarding salaries one can get after graduating from MYRA School of business, we can promise you that you will get both financially and intellectually rewarding jobs. As far as specific package is concerned, it would depend on your work experience, choice of area of work and your academic performance. However, the expected salary for a fresher is going to be in the range of six to eight lakh, for a student with an experience of five years in the range of ten to fifteen lakh and above eight years of experience in the range of twenty lakh.

Please note, this being our first batch, the top management is equally, if not more, concerned about the placements of our students and will do everything possible to ensure that our students get the right job up on graduating.
@MYRAadmissions Thanks for the reply :)
