It is impossible for me to believe that is cutoff 90+ in BEL. It means most of the students are getting marks around 110-120. There were almost 20 questions in the exam which were either wrong or misprinted. It means total marks were reduced from 150 to 130 and students are getting 110-120 marks out of 130. It is totally unacceptable because the paper contains to many subjective type questions which can't be solved without the use of calculator. It's a very serious issue ya to hum hi bht fuddu hai ya fir students sachme extraordinary talented ho gye hai....

ITS REALLY UNFAIR AS IT SEEMS GLANCING AT THE BEL CUTOFF THIS YEAR,IF WE DONT RAISE OUR VOICE AGAINST SUCH CORRUPTION,THEN THERE WOULD BE NO PERSON MORE STUPID THAN US.. GUYS WHAT DO U THINK IS CUTOFF 86/150 JUSTIFIED?

PSU is much sought after becoz of good salary as compared to pure central goverment job...but entire scenerio will change soon

This is a widely subscribed misconception that the salary revision of PSU employees are done by the Central Pay Commission (CPC), the current one being the recently constituted 7th CPC headed by A.K. Mathur.

As far as Salary Revision is concerned, Very Few of few PSUs (and they can be put in exception list) follows the Pay Revision guidelines of CPCs. One example that I can give here is Damodar Valley Corp, where there are Pay Bands and Grade pay structure as per the recommendations of 6th CPC. But, as far as a typical PSU is concerned like ONGC Ltd, IOCL, HPCL, BHEL, GAIL, SAIL and host of others, Salary of their employees, both Board level and below-board level are guided by a SEPARATE Pay revision committee. The last one constituted for that purpose was named as Second Pay Revision Committee for Public Sector Undertakings headed by M.J.Rao.

It is also important to note here that Pay Revision of Central Govt employees are due from 01.01.2016 while that of Typical PSUs employees are due from 01.01.2017. The last pay revision guidelines for Central Govt and PSUs employees were implemented from 01.01.2006 and 01.01.2007 respectively.

Now, Coming to the exact topic.

Since the pay revision of PSUs employees have to be financed from the resources of concerned PSUs itself, unlike the case of Central Govt employees where It is financed through Budgetary resources, It is very difficult to give even a rough range of hike in Salary of PSUs employees. Even, following the earlier pay revision implementation among PSUs, the hike was different in different PSUs. While it was more or less uniformly higher in the Maharatna PSUs like ONGC Ltd, IOCL, BHEL, NTPC, etc; It was quite low in case of other Navaratna PSUs and other loss-making PSUs.

It is also mentioned here that while a pay revision committee (7th CPC) is already functioning for Central Govt Employees, There has not any such committee for the pay revision of PSUs employees. The recent Govt has not shown any inclination to constitute such committee, even as there are dilemmas on the further institutional structure for pay revision of PSU employees as the last Committee, Second Pay Revision Committee for Public Sector Undertakings headed by M.J.Rao, had opined, " the responsibility of future revision should be given to the Board of Directors of a company subject to the approval of the concerned Ministry in discharge of its role as shareholders".
