Airport Operations department takes care of all the upkeep and maintenance of areas and facilities related to passenger service and comfort and operations of all the airlines and smaller private operators operating from their airport. This could be from general cleanliness of the whole airport premises, vehicle parking... to providing area, electricity and basic help to maintain counters and shops for eatable, or other purchasable and consumable items within the airport. They are also responsible for the passenger's and the staff's security, CCTV surveillance, Passenger baggage handling and scanning facilities, minding the occupancy of the terminal's floor space so that it all doesn't get too crowded causing general inconvenience to travelers and staff. They also look after all flight's parking stand's maintenance, proving ground staff and support to airlines operating from the airport.
