Got 97.484 percentile. What are my chances of getting a call from SIBM-Pune?. Somebody please help.

Last year 91.75 was the marks out of 180. They introduced percentile from this year only.

You need not specify your specialization at the GI/PI stage. But, if you are inclined to a particular specialization, you can use it to your advantage during the Personal Interview. At SIBM Pune, you have to select your specializations 40 days from the start of the course.

Hi everyone, please be patient and wait till the 17th. Since this is the 1st time we have a percentile based system we will not be able to tell you the expected cutoffs. No point speculating. Instead please prepare well for the GI/PI stage.

So I see a lot of questions about getting a call based on the mentioned percentile. Well, trust me guys, but it is very hard to tell. For two reasons,
a) Percentiles are completely new to us. When me and my batchmates joined in, we were dealing with absolute scores. It was comparatively easier to formulate opinions based on historical cut-off records and what-not. Most of the time however, even that was kinda pointless because...
b) Historical cut-offs don't mean much. The cut-offs are decided based on the college requirement, and completely mirror the general performance of the batch. With scores, that means wide variations over the years based on the difficulty levels and your performances. With percentiles, it's harder still to judge.
My advice will be sit tight till the 17th - that's the day we declare our short-list. And no calculated opinion can truly prepare you for that day. Don't give yourself too much hope, and don't lose too many hair over it either. It's not even a long wait. :)

A GI/PI call is purely percentile based. Your profile will be considered only during the personal interview process.
