Take photocopies of everything, PIWAT, PHOTOID, SNAP ADMIT card. They will take everything, also 4 copies of bio data. Process was really slow today as many people didnt have photocopies ( including me 😛 ) of one section or another. Otherwise it was pretty smooth albeit slighty slow.

WAT- 40 Mins, 1 Question (650 Words), 1 Picture Essay (450 Words)
1 standard topic - Question was - Recently UN-HABITAT has declared that india would be the youngest country to have 64% workforce. Say advantages and limitation.
--> I felt this was standard, talk about GDP improvement, maybe FDI for some improving sectors, then decreasing unemployment rate and improved GDP usually means less people in the poverty line as has been the trend past couple of years. Limitations could possibly be saturation of a sector, IT saturation and other lagging sectors (since we are IT heavy/ofshoring industry wise). Are people getting the jobs they want? Are they qualified for it or simply taken to fill vacancies?

2. Starting with a standard question, Why MBA?
-> Said about my background, my interest in consultancy in the future. Exposure that I needed, mentioned I wanted a career change and now was the best time for me, some more reasons. Did alot of bakbak. 😃
3. Qualities of me as a consultant and what I should do more of or less?-> I said maybe less bakbak and more listening to clients. Hints of smiles 😃. 3rd member looked skeptical about everything.
4. Boom Technical, Tell me about emerging markets.
-> Dimaag ki batti bandh for 30 seconds, stalled abit, was thinking and then slowly I regained compusure. I said a country's economy that hasn't fully developed. I also mentioned BRIC's. Then the 3rd female panelist says "so only if you are US or Japan you are fully developed? 😐 Give me more specifiers. Why is India an emerging market tell me?" I stalled abit again, started thinking slowly. Then mentioned GDP, poverty, CAD high, Corruption. They seemed satisfied. 🍻
5. They asked me about my internship at Credit Suisse, mostly what I did.
Some technical stuff on research, hedge funds and investment portfolios I mentioned but they were IPR related so couldnt divulge much information. They seemed happy 🍻
6. How would you see yourself interacting with clients from different backgrounds? Do you think you would be able to handle it? Why didnt you try for a job in the UK?
Gave answer, told about David Cameron screwing me (not exactly that way) by removing PSW and some other stuff.

Many aspirants failed to get all the documents mentioned above and had to run for print outs/photocopies. Please be prepared with all the above in sufficient number to avoid inconvenience and last minute rush.

All the processes were really smooth , staff and volunteers were friendly with each candidate. They shared there experiences during break, told us not to get nervous... those who didn't had photocopies of documents , volunteers ask them to submit theirs original and within 5-10 mins they personally got photocopies from campus, returned originals back to evryone ..without any charge.

PI : It was pretty relaxed interaction...panel was cool...3 ppl...questions primarily were focused at the details entered in the BIO-DATA...that they have asked to fill up...rest questions were concerned with my work-ex...and that was it !!!
I guess my PI lasted for abt 15 mins...
Folks, just be cool and let ur mind speak in front of the panel...dont try to fabricate things & rest would be fine .

I am a 2011 passout. I recently noticed that in my BE 8th semester marksheet summary column the marks for 4th sem is wrongly entered and because of this the grand total percentage has increased by 0.04%. However, this slight change has no effect on eligibilty or cut off requirements for the interview. I have entered this percentage in all forms. Now, I have interview for SIBM on 14th. what should i do?pls suggest.Thanks in advance
I just realized that i have not received the confirmation letter from SIU. I do have the admit card and all other documents. Do I need to contact the admission cell or the admit card will do?
