According to CRISIL, fixed components were 12.XX but fixed + variable components were 14.XX. Also all colleges will always show fixed+variable in their placement report. Hence SPJAIN has jacked up salary from 14 to 16 only. Similarly NM will be having salary of 11-12.
Agree with your part of profile based selection for companies. Foe ex: In IIM B this yr Mckinsey only shortlisted IIT students with 85+ throughout for summers. It also shortlisted one NIT student who had gold medal in grad. So its not easy to be shortlisted in such companies if you have even one past sin. Also companies like Mckinsey only come for summers and then give PPO. So basically you have NO chance to redeem yourself in Bschool for it.
