hey seniors, how important is summer internship? on the website, the pdf on 2nd year curriculum says that it must be completed satisfactorily? is there/ are there cases where people have got stuck because of their internships not being completed "satisfactorily"?

I don't want to disrespect anybody but i feel that seniors don't want to reveal the real scenario...forget on PG and FB threads, they are not even responding to PM's regarding same....i can't understand the reason for same....if placements are down this year, they can say that also...it is almost same everywhere this year because of market scenario...placements are always subjected to market and the kind of job available...so placements figure can vary from year to year...and a college/course can not be judged by its placement figures only for a particular year...but seniors are even not responding for queries like profiles offered..future scope....what we can expect after passing out from this course or anything related to BM/CM.....

Because multiple offers are also taken in consideration for final calliberation

even the claim of 30 lac per annum of highest package by Goldman Sachs is manipulated figure...30 lac is not the ctc but the variable pay has been considered at 100% and added to reach the 30 lac figure...

Its not manipulated figure, but details of such emoluments are never revealed to aspirants like us. But this is done in every college. Even in job offers (non-MBA) this is done. They quote the CTC as your maximum earning potential which is dependent on you and your company's performance. The thing is we are not bothered as there is hardly 3-4k difference at max pre-MBA. But stakes get higher post-MBA when difference can be 20-30K per month easily.
Thats why I respect colleges who follow IPRS for placement report. It is clearly mentioned their the guaranteed components and variable components. But asking this here will be like asking pigs to fly.

NM_Banking or NM- Bangalore..no comparison..but still can any1 guide me over this which 1 to choose and why? [Please do consider the placement factor as well]!!
