@ishanverma I had checked a few days back about the reason why there was hardly any waitlist movement after the 2nd list last year. By the time the second list had come out, all the colleges including SP, XL,IIMs,MDI,IIFT etc had released their results. The effect was the movement in the second waitlist, but then obviously it choked up. This year it's a different ball game altogether. Practically no good college had come out with their list ( interviews were still going on for some!) when the 2nd one came out. So, yes a fair bit of movement should be seen :)

what about the buffer calls
Buffer calls are always there, but then again you gotta take into account that all these colleges put together would admit around 1200 blokes at the very least. Now simple probability: out of those 1200, there would be at least 200 who have got through to NM core. So, yeah I still believe there would be a fair amount of waitlist movement.

@dusaj26 See, the patterns of NMAT,CAT,XAT are almost similar right, barring a few inherent idiosyncrasies of each? So, I kind of think that it would be that number which I quoted. Maybe, it's more than the actual, maybe it's less. Time will tell. ATB man:)

@scheck and even NM is a good college so the list of good colleges u mentioned should include this one too..maybe bombay guys n chicks would prefer NM over other schools; we cant say nothin at the momment so lets w8 n woch

@ishanverma Of course NM is a good college. It's a great college ( read MBA Core)! But since we were discussing about the lists of other colleges which would in turn influence NM's , I didn't mention it. Yeah, waiting for the 30th now:)
