Dear Seniors, 1. could you please let me know how different or similar is XIMB RM from IRMA PRM?? 2. how do people fare after the course(Placements and the Kind of jobs that they end up with)?? 3. Current Batch Strength?? 4. What does the Panel expect from the candidates during the process??
1. XIMB RM in its essence is similar to the IRMA PRM program. But as you must be knowing the course pedagogy varies in the mode of delivery and structure. For more details about the courses offered and the areas of thrust you can refer to the admission brochure. For any specific query please let us know.
2.For details regarding the placements and the career opportunities after the completion of the course please refer to the following links:
They contain all the functional areas and the names of the recruiting organizations along with necessary data regarding salary.
3. The PGDM(RM) batch of 2011-2013 is of 100 students and the batch of 2012-14 is of 60 students.
4. During the interview process the panel expects a bit of clarity regarding the fact why you want to join a specialized program as this. They expect you to be clearly versed with the recent happenings in the rural sector, both government and private. And above all , you should not have any doubt about working in the non metro areas. If you have , it shows.
Please look into the following threads for individual experiences:
1. At this moment I have no idea regarding the batch strength of the 2013-2015 batch. I would check with the appropriate authority and let you know. In the meantime, you would be assigned mentors from our junior batch who can take up your queries in one to one basis.
2. The Placement Report and Placement Press Release would be out soon. Please keep an eye on the placement website.
3. By pedagogy I meant the credit of the courses, the actual courses offered, the duration and timings of the internships. And XIMB RM gets a separate identity because of multiple disciplines in the same campus, thereby getting far better interdisciplinary exposure. Do look into the course section of both XIMB and IRMA to have a better idea.
