1)Is there negative marking for the entrance exam?
2)Is there a definite time limit for each section?

Last year there was negative marking only in Paper 2 ( 1/4th ) and Paper 1 didnt had any negative marking
but this year paper pattern had been modified kindly refer to the sample papers provided by the admissions dept

Till last year for different courses people had to appear in different papers but this year the pattern had been changed and everyone would appear in the same paper for all TISS courses

1. if we apply for more than one course, how would the GDPI round differ for each course. will it be separate for every course or that too will be common like the paper this year.
2. can someone give a quick round-up of the best courses for a typical MBA aspirant other than HR. It would be really helpful.

- Do we need to post anything after filling the form, I will pay by online mode.
- I have filled 1st page of application but by mistake marked my test center different from what i wanted... Can I change it now as the form is freezed i suppose.
- other than HR any other program I should apply for.. I am an Engineer with 30 months work ex. in operations.

1. No , you dont need to post
2 . you have to drop mail to tiss care regarding change of centre .
3. Regarding application to othr courses solely depends on you , but there is no specialised course in mngmnt in othr streams thn HR

As per last yr , there was diffrnt GD PI rounds fr diffrnt courses
you might be intrested in Social Enterpreneurship ( But placements are barred )

nothing is mentioned in online sample exam...but in written sample exam it is mentioned that all questions are compulsory..does that mean that there is no negative marking??
the sample paper they published contain very less question n give vague idea of exam.at least they should clear that what they r going to ask ie maths reasoning DI,GK and how much weightage of each section.

2.Will the written & online CETs would be conducted on the same day, will have the same set of questions and will take place at the same set of cities ?

i am a btech student and am in a dillema about applying for tiss. i know about the reputation of tiss, but since the degree that will be given is on ma,will that in any way hamper me. what is the percentage of btech students in the previous batches of tiss? can anyone advice me about what course of action i should take?

FYI, the current batches of HRM & LR have many engineers including plenty of students from NIT's , DCE , Jadavpur University and likes. Infact 2011-13 batch has 30 engineers most of them even work ex and 2012-14 batch has 47 engineers majority with plenty work ex. I guess the above info serves as an indicator for even choice of engineers
Secondly, answering ur query over the degree. In India many colleges offer PGDHRM for HR courses
technically there is not much difference between MBA HR and MA HR
however MA HR would provide u a degree
MBA HR in most cases is PGDHRM or similar courses gives a diploma in PGDHRM
Degree and diploma comparison arises only when one plans to pursue Ph D specially outside India and in some foreign Institutes degree is must
but in Industry its the Institutes brand name that matters the most rather than what the institute offers whether it's degree or diploma

P.S - I have given TISS last year and missed it by a whisker...but i know it will not hepl as the pattern will change this year..
