Hello
I m a law student & I want to pursue LLM course (MA social work in criminology & justice and masters of laws in Access to justice) in TISS 2014 batch.
I have few queries which I want to ask you:
-Since how many years these programmes have been started?
-How many students are now pursuing these courses?
-There is one common entrance exam for all d programmes but is there any other special exam like HR & labour relations?
waiting for your reply,
yours

Hi,

I have applied to 4 programs in TISS,namely Urban Policy and Governance and Rural Development and Governance, apart from HRM and LR and Globalization and Labor.

Can someone please shed some light on the opportunities presented for the first two courses and the organizations which arrive for Campus placements for these two courses.
Expecting a quick reply.

Thanks,
Abhishek

Hi Suneeta, I will try to answer some of your queries.
1) MA social work in criminology & justice is an Old program in TISS I feel but Masters of laws in Access to justice is getting started this year. Please confirm with TISS helpline on these.

2) So based on my first answer, intake was 25 last year and this year 26 for MA social work in criminology & justice.

3) No special exam for HR & Labor relations starting this year as written exam is common but Pre-Interview test for all the Schools will be different from other Schools.

I am also an aspirant so don't take this as final answer. Please verify.

Urban Policy and Governance is a new course introduced in TISS this year but most of the courses were already being taught under MA in Habitat Studies. You find the details about the course and opportunities here under this link: https://admissions.tiss.edu/featured-programmes-of-the-day/programmes-featured-earlier/m-a-m-sc-in-urban-policy-and-governance-22-oct-2012

For Rural Development and Governance Join this FB group and ask your queries there.

All the best :-)

Hi all,

Just a few pointers regarding the Tattvaboddha event (the invitation and the details on page 119):

1. If you select 'student' in the registration form, you will have to bring your ID-cards along with you.
2. For the corporates, there is an entry fee of Rs. 200 (people who have organized events in the past would know the reason why)

It's a really big event in the HR fraternity. But since many of you would be unaware of it (I too was, last year), here is why you should not be missing it:

1. You will get to know whether HR is really what you want to do in life
2. A chance to hear from the best in the industry--people who have been there, done that
3. Opportunity to get your doubts, if any, cleared in person (from the seniors)
4. A chance to visit the pristine campus
