The profile based shortlist for admissions to 2013-2015 PGDM programme is now out.

Kindly note that these are the first set of calls made to applicants solely on the basis on applicant's profile. Another set of calls would be made after XAT results.
Group Interview dates:
Slot 1 (open to Profile based call getters)
21 Jan- 24 Jan, 2013: Mumbai only
Slot 2 (open to profile based and score based call getters)
Feb 7- Feb 10, 2013: Bangalore
Feb 10- Feb 11, 2013: Kolkatta
Feb 11- Feb 14, 2013: New Delhi
Feb 15- Feb 18, 2013: Mumbai
P.S. Profile based call getters can appear either in Jan or wait for XAT results and appear in Feb
Last year's statistics:
Total interview calls made: 2000 (1200=Profile, 800= Score)
1000 applicants make it to GI-II
600 applicants are ranked (called for immersion)
240 applicants are selected

@kiterunner Whats with Set 1 and Set 2 interview dates? 1 set for profile based and another set for score based? In that case all the profile based call getters have to reach mumbai for giving interviews this time?

Profile based applicants may give interviews in Set 1.
However they may choose to appear in Set2 after XAT comes out with the results.
Profile based applicants: Can appear either in Set 1 or Set 2
Score Based applicants: Set 2 only

Sorry for the ignorance. It would be great if you could explain a bit more. You mean to say even for a profile call getter can give the interview in Set 2? Then whats the point in conducting 2 different GD-PI sessions for profile and score based candidates?

@raku1989 : yes. Profile based applicants who meet the minimum cut off criteria of test scores with CAT may give it in Jan. Those who dont might wait for XAT and give it with Score based applicants.

I think this is just to avoid chaos and a smooth process because of the distribution of candidates into different sets:-)

but dont you think it can hamper the distribution by giving more privilege to the profile based call getters. In my view most of the students would be inclined to choose a later date and that too close to their hometown.
i just can't believe it.....i got a call for finance specialization....
a few questions:
1)how many does SPJain call for interviews(all put together: profile based + cat based + xat based........and if possible give the split also )
2)And out of these, how many are finance calls?
3)how will the 2nd stage be? is it just GD+PI or does it have a lot more than that like extempore/essay writing etc...?
