We are pleased to announce that the admission process for 2013-15 batch for MBA at Institute of Management, Nirma University has started.
The Institute :
The Institute of Management, Nirma University is a constituent Institute of Nirma University, a statutory University, recognized by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f). The Institute has been consistently ranked among the top 15 private B-Schools in the country.
The Programme :
The MBA programme (two-year residential) offers dual specialization in Finance, Marketing, OB & HR, IT, International Business, Operations and Strategic Management. The programme emphasizes on academic excellence, networking with the corporate world and personal development. The placement record of the Institute has been consistently 100 percent.
Scholarship :
The Institute provides a few Merit-cum- Means Scholarships for deserving students.
Eligibility :
A three-year bachelor`s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Students appearing in the final examination of a bachelor`s degree can also apply.
Admission Process :
The prospective candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test -2012 to be conducted by IIMs. Applicants are required to fill in the application form of the Institute of Management, Nirma Univesity in addition to the CAT form. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for personal interview at select cities.
Online Application forms :
Can be filled at Institute of Management, Nirma University from 08.10.2012 to 30.12.2012.
Online applicants are required to make online payment for the application processing fee of Rs.1,500/- through Credit / Debit Card or net banking.
Offline Application forms :
Can be directly obtained form the Institute or from different centres of
IMS Learning Resources or TIME on payment of Rs. 1,500/- by cash or demand draft from October 8th, 2012 onwards. Application forms can also be downloaded from our website Institute of Management, Nirma University and the completed application forms can be submitted along with a demand draft for Rs. 1,500/- drawn in favour of Institute of Management, Nirma University payable at Ahmedabad. Completed applications should be dispatched so as to reach us latest by December 30, 2012 .

Application forms can also be directly obtained from the Institute or from the various centers of IMS and TIME on payment of Rs.1500/ from October 8, 2012. NRI/NRI sponsored/Foreign Students/Person of Indian Origin/Gulf Countries and South East Asia candidates should enclose a bank draft for Rs.3,500/- or US$ 80 along with the completed application form in addition to the regular application processing fee of Rs.1500/- or US$ 35.
The candidates can also download the application form from our website www.imnu.ac.in and submit the completed application form along with a DD of Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of €œInstitute of Management, Nirma University €? and payable at Ahmedabad. NRI/NRI sponsored/Foreign Students/Person of Indian Origin/Gulf Countries and South East Asia candidates should submit along with DD for Rs.5000/- or US$ 115 as processing fee).

Note: IMNU uses CAT scores as an input for the admission process. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in conduct of the programme.

What were the cutoffs in the previous years?

The cut offs for last year were as follows :
80%ile with 50%ile as sectional cut offs or 90%ile overall (with no sectional cut offs)

@IMNU-Ahmedabad : People with more than how many months of work ex are considered as laterals? coz there is a variation in the avg salary for laterals in the placement report. kindly clarify the no of months

dont know the exact no but there are a few with 3+ yrs experience....have a few of em in my section....and i know 2 guys who have 4+ exp one of whom is in my section....there are bound to be more....Maybe IMNU could give the exact no if they have...

IMNU does not have any special provision for lateral placements. The average salary was calculated for laterals i.e. students with 2+ years of relevant work experience. I hope that answers your query! please feel free to ask if you need any further clarifications.
