2:Something related to the banning of tobacco companies and the profitability of sports sponsors..something like that.I can't recall exactly
GD Exp:We chose the 1st topic.It was a chilled one.No fish market at all.Entered 3-4 times.Gave 2-3 points.But at the last moment we as a group messed up a bit.Moderators were asking to summarize the gd.But one guy kept on telling new points.Another guy tried to clear ...Finally moderators asked us to penned it down.:banghead:
PI experience:My panel was E.Seniors told it was the most chilax panel.There were four members in this panel.For rest of the guys they asked very casual questions.More of a chatting mode.And it lasted from12-15 mins.But what happened with me god knows only..
1st they asked the basic questions like y mba?dn y not phd?I gave an elaborate answer.After 5-6 interviews u'll definitely have a promt answer.Then they did not ask anything.Suddnly went technical.Atlast asked something about florescence.I could not answer that.It was very short for me.

Verdict:it was neither bad nor good..even senior volunteer was astonished..like u are done!!any way let's c..
Senior Interaction:Cool..they are pretty chilax..quite frank..Professors are also nice..

Did they ask for CV or they made u fill some form?
Nope.No CV no form filling...Only that form you filled to apply...
Got done with gd/pi an hour back...so here goes my exp...

GD topic and experience - two topics were provided
1. Women reservation
2. Young politicians are a myth
Although I chose first topic ( politics always creates a fish market), group consented on second topic.
1 minute for thinking, 7 mins discussion, 1 min summary and 1 min writing your own summary, which went off real quick....guys pls be short and precise with your writing, one min will fly off.
GD was a bit of chaos, random ideas flowed thick and fast, people were shouting like it was a parliament. Butted in 3-4 times, tried to bring discussion back on track...for summary didn't had much content. On hindsight, in my opinion, gd went tangential to the topic given !!
PI experience -(panel E) Four panellists, all faculty. I was the first guy.
It stared with "introduce yourself", I did well to introduce my work ex into it 😁 . Rest questions were on project management and tools and techniques of it. Everything was answerd satisfactorily.
Got stuck on the question of exact diff between engineering and technology i .e. B.E. And B.tech degrees ! 😲 :o
Verdict - GD could have been better, never pick politics as topic, always causes a fish market. PI was ok. Keeping fingers crossed. Although, I was quite skeptical abt doms rooekee, but the inst seems better than what I imagined !!
P.S. There is no particular order of gd/pi ! I had my pi before gd, and some others had it reverse. Different panels for judging each process. The process gets over fast, maximum 4-5 hrs, if you are last in the panel. Mine got over in 2.5 hrs.

First day first show..

Gd- total 8 students and 3 panelists....
topics were 1. will privatization stop electricity theft
2. should Salman rushdie be allowd at JLF.
we went with first one,gd was almost fine.there was no fish market at all,evrybdy cntributed but 2 of us including me contributed least
it could be better....
P.I- I was second to be interviewed....there were 4 members in my panel including one lady,n she tried to contradict my some answers n tried to stress me but others were cool...my interview started with introduce urself and ended with engineering drawing...:sneaky::sneaky: they asked all type of qs like y mba,why dis why dat,asked about my favourite topic, then about UIDAI but all qs were general one.... overall interview was good and it took around 20 odd minutes....
entire process was very smooth n all credit go to seniors.they were ready for all ur queries and very friendly too,coz at d end of day we/they are engineers and eng always rocks.....:cheerio::cheerio:
Verdict- just wait and watch n wishing u all d best....

y iit roorkee, wat all books have u read, my final year project, y mba after btech in ece, questions on morality of the boooks i mentioned (dey knew all d books i mentined. .. all d authors i mentioned.. weird 
), was asked to tell the stories too in brief 😉 so interview was much concentrated towards my 'interests' 😃 (i dnt know y but i feel dat 1 member of the panel was a psychologist .........)
Verdict - fingers crossed.
P.S. : awesome campus, great seniors, one of the best systematic processes i hav come across till date ;)

Cat %ile -79.33 Xth-81% (bihar board) XII th- 74.40% (bihar board) Grad - 71.20% category:sc Gd- total 8 students and 3 panelists.... topics were 1. will privatization stop electricity theft 2. should Salman rushdie be allowd at jbf we selected 1st topics, it was good . mine was 8th number. some one openedup with discussion however i entered 5-6 times, and concluded becauze rest were again falling in to the discussion i took an advantage of situation. 😉 PI- pannel consist of 3 member 1 senior prof. and 2 lady of mid age. started with chill question about academics and rest were simply chat and arguments.............they feedbacked me with "u should not be so deep into the politics , focus more about career" i dont want they mean, i think they were just tring to acknowlege me reaction..... i told them i do hv knowledge as this is my long term goal ............... hope to convert 😃

There were 8 ppl in a group..We chose the first topic..Process went pretty smooth..I initiated the gd..and pitched in 3-4 times during the whole process which was for 8 mins..last 1 min for summarizing the entire gd

Panel : 3 persons (2 gentlemen , 1 old lady ) panel d
Interview was totally..asked about my college..the placement scenario there..Few questions related to stock market as I told them that I want to do MBA in finance + I have 2 certificates from NSE..Your take on the budget...What is ethical hacking..No stress Interview totally cool
Verdict
Process Went smooth but was more time consuming den rest of the places so get ready to wait for atleast 90-100 mins...Dont know what will be the final result !! Fingers crossed
18 morning slot... I reached 1day before... Thanks i reachd... Took a train at 11 frm delhi reachd in the nite 8.... Koi bridge toota tha to train hr stop pe 2 ghante rook jati thi.... Was too furstratd.... Met 3-4 seniors in the nite... They were too cool... Feel aa gyi sare engg 1 jaise hote h..:-) .. Nxt day...
Interview panl was cool.. Didnt ask neithr frm tech nor frm gk... Q abt my hometown.. Then ask me to choose a color n y... Then abt ipr....
Gd topic quality is a nyth in india..

GD topic and experience:-
Had to choose from 2 Topics. First was "If you cut all the ends, you'll end up in a circle" and the second was "If there was no army". Everyone in the group chose the second topic, as the first one was a bouncer. Good discussion. Had many points but was a bit late to chip in, but made my point after a minute. Added 3 new points. And spoke about 4-5 times including the summary. 1 minute to prepare and only 1 minute to write the summary. So be quick in the summary part, as the 1 minute is not much to write the whole summary. Try writing bullet points instead.
PI experience:
My PI was conducted before my GD. Panel had 3 members(Actually 4, 1 had gone out before i entered). Very cool panel. 2 Males and 1 Female Professors. Questions were-
-Tell me about yourself
-Whether i am placed in a company(I am a fresher)
-Why MBA now, and not after 2-3 years of exp.?
A little more grilling on that.
-Asked how much is the high salary offered by a B-School important to me? I told important but its not everything. Asked me to substantiate.
-Asked me what kind of role i was targeting after an MBA? Told about my consultancy interests. Asked me what things would i suggest for a manufacturing firm, toachieve a target of producing 20000 units?
There were more general questions. Nothing technical. No stress. Almost 15 minutes.

The seniors there are just amazing and will help you out in every way. And do explore the campus, it is awesome!

GD topic and experience:
1)Sez good or bad.
2)Customer is not most important for a company.
there were 4 people in gd panel and a group of 8 for discussion.i was the only girl in the group.:sneaky:We selected the second topic.Gd started well.but then progressed in becoming a fish market with 2 or more people speaking at the same time.I chipped in 2-3 times.all the guys were quite courteous whenever i started speaking they all stopped discussion and listened to me.:grin:
I was the last one to be interviewed in my panel.I got the coolest panel.Panel-D.They asked very general questions.No grilling.More of chit chatting.
In other panels,people were grilled and asked technical questions.but none in this panel.There were two male professors in the interview panel.P1,P2:professors,me.
p1:Why so many people from infosys are interested in doing mba?(there were around 4 people in my group who were from infosys)
me:talked about infy being a mass recuriter and even if 1 percent of them decide to do mba,they will be large in numbers.(reality everyone knows rite..kind of job many people do in it sector,mba is just an escape route for the same.but no use of telling the panel same:))
p2:why mba?
me:well rehersed answer.
p2:so u r from hazaribag,what u like most about it?
me:nice weather,blah blah blah
p2:What kind of industries do u have in your town.
me:industries not allowed in that area,to protect environment.even no railways..
p1:(suddenly got interested)..which is nearest railway station to your town.
me:koderma also known as jhumri tilaiya.
p1:why jhumri tilaiya famous?
me:talked about sainik school,and its connection with vividh bharti(he was only looking for this vividh bharti thing,looked very satisfied after that)
p1:you work in chandigarh ,how is it different from your hometown?
me:talked about it being very safe for girls even at nights.(he was very happy after listening to this):)
p1:what r your hobbies?
me:no specific hobby.on weekends ,teach poor students ,read books(mentioned a particular genre of books,just to avoid more question related to books)
p1:some more question regarding my work for NGO.
me:answered satisfactorily
p2:so u stayed here at night,what do u liked about campus and the way process is carried out.
me:talked about nice campus,seniors very helpul.blah blah blah

overall , i was quite satisfied with my interview.very helpful seniors.they answered all the queries,even when people stopped asking queries,they themselves started talking about different aspects of life@doms.
