1. This sector has various opportunities in the diversified sectors like IT, Consultancy, Banking &
Insurance firms, Marketing & Sales etc.

2.) Last 1 or 2 years Cat Cut offs for the course.
3.) Whats the weightage for a guy with total 3+yrs IT workex out of which 2 years in a Fortune-1 companys retail project..

hey buddy....
yup the PGDM RM course is the flagship course of kj somiaya besides PGDM, PGDMIB,& PGDMFS , IT'S an AICTE approved course and was started in year 2007.

regarding your second query, we at SIMSR accepts MHCET,and XAT Scores besides CAT, hence the cutoffs varies from year to year, my advice would be to apply with your best score.

and to answer your third question total 8 marks would be awarded, in the process of personal interview, out of 48..
many of my colleague are here with work experience in diverse fields and sector . one of my classmate is also from the IT industry and has 3 years of work exp.
but no doubt this would be ur plus point and you can leverage it during the gdi process .

As Jay has already answered your queries, I just would like to add up something about your query 3.) as follows....

You would certainly get the marks for your work experience upon showing the experience proof from your employer. This could be added advantage to you in this increased competition for retail course. :)

We also had IT companies recruiting the retail students and offering handsome packages and good job profiles. This is very emerging segment for IT companies especially in India.

hey buddy....

1) there are multiple scores (CAT, MHCET & XAT) accepted for the admission process and hence cutoffs varies depending upon the difficulty level of the paper.

2) the fess for current batch is RS 2,83,500/- including various deposits, residential(hostel) charges, and tuition fee.
the fess for the batch 0f 14 might get increased.
3) ROI of simsr is the best among all the colleges offering PG in Retail Management ..
placement figure for the batch of 11 is
maximum: 14.25lac (international)
7.1 lac(national)
average: 5lac

while placement process for the batch of 12 is in process and 40% of the RM batch is already being placed...:

Right now i am accessing net from mobile due to lack of desktop facility that is why i am not able to go through the links that you people have provided.so if i am asking something which already has been mentioned in the links kindly pardon me.
As far as my knowledge is concerned..for simsr the application date of pgdm IB is 31st dec and it accepts cat acore..and rest f the programme accepts mh cet.
I am one OMS candidate..and hoping to fectch atleast 99%tile in mhcet.
So i hope i will be able to clear the cut off.or for OMS cut off is 100 %tile ?
And last date for applying to pgdm rm is 15th of april??..i am abit confused with dates..
Kindly inform me.as i am not very much confident about my cat score..want to know my scores and then only apply..so

Hey Debbo,
SIMSR accepts CAT,XAT and MHCET score for its PGDMRM AND PGDMFS prog,
while only CAT scores are being used to shortlist the students for PGDM and PGDMIB.
the last date to apply for PGDM AND IB is 31 dec. while for RM and FS its 31 dec for round 1 and 15 april for round 2 that means there would be two rounds of gdpi process, you can apply for any of the above, application received till 31Dec will be considered in round 1 while if received at later stage, till 15th april,would be for round 2.

The quotas like OMS, GUJARATI, HOME UNIV ETC...,derived through MHCET are applicable only for MMS PROG ,not for any of the PGDM PROG. hence even if you have scored 99%ile in MHCET and had not applied for pg progs. your candidature would not be considered.
but with your score of 100%ILE you will get admission in mms prog through DTE process.
also kindly note that the cutoffs list of PG progms are not generated just on the basis of written exam score. there are multiple parameter on which the candidates are being evaluated and as the retail management is an special prog it requires an special mindset and quality in the student, which the evaluator look out for during the gdpi process.

my personal suggestion to you would be to apply at the earliest......

regarding you query:

1)the last date of various progs are being fixed, by the management, after due consideration and the chances of extension are blink, also its better to apply today and avoid any consequences rather then waiting for the last date.

can u explain how Cat%ile is converted to equi marks in MAh cet .
And i also i hvnt find any figure of CAT %ile here and in ur college mandatory disclosure.only MAH CET score are there.

1) There is a seperate form for PGDM RM, do i need to fill this form after registering for CET ?

2) I can see in the form that , there are three options XAT, CAT and CET... so an individual can give only one id ? or he can give all the ids of these three exams? and then the best score which makes an applicant eligible for gdpi will be called?

3) Please tell me what should i do if i want to apply for

1 Form A PGDM / PGDM(IB) CAT 2011
2 Form B PGDM(RM) / PGDM(FS) CAT 2011 / XAT 2012 / MH-CET 2012
with all the exam scores ! and how much should i pay in this condition.
