but just now he got another message that application has been received
so it's just mistake of them 
Ya I too got 2 sms. first stating XLRI admn off yet to receive the appln form and second one just now saying Application received and reconciled.Some relief after the initial flutters....
Guys.. It seems that the message in question has been sent to a large number of applicants (if not all). I received that message twice this afternoon. Quite a shocker that was.
However I have rechecked the status of the post via both the Speed Post web portal as well as XAT Application Status link on xlri.net.in. Both confirm that the application has been received. I had applied online and mailed these in September itself.
I'll suggest you people do the same. Just take it easy. No need to worry...
Edit: I have just received the third sms from XLRI with the info that my application form has been received and reconciled.

I have also recieved same two sms half an gour ago and now i am very tensed as what to do now as the last date is 5th december and i live in very interior of maharashtra so it will definately take more days to reach the office if i sent it now and its been a month uptill now that i have sent the form for both XAT and XLRI so very confused what to do now? pls help puys as the helpline guy is also not picking up the phone
@Medhavin buddy did your application status show that form is recieved?
as my application status still shows that "your application is still under processing " on "APPLICATION STATUS " on the website can shed some light on this matter TIA..

Cool dude.. I think it was a mistake.. I got the same message few mins back and now another message saying its received and reconciled. You will get the same in few mins

I'm uploading the screenshot of my application status as an attachment. It says that my application has been approved and the required forms received.
Same for me.. I suspect it has got something to do with online application.
While apping online we generally dont have the envelope provided with prospectus. But still the steps have that the envelope provided with the prospectus should be used.
Did you people also apply online?
I also applied online. After receiving the first 2 msgs stating the application has not been received now I get a 3rd one saying "Dear Candidate, The special envelope for sending application is not required. You can send it in normal envelope. if sent already please ignore this message."
hoping for a 4th one which reads my application has been received...
I got only the message that my form has not reached teh office yet.In the XAT application status,it is telling my pa form is recieved but the signature and phot are not updated.
I tracked the courier and both the envelopes reached Jamshedpur on Oct 7 itself.:shock:
Any pointers...Me thinking of sending the PP form again tommorow..Any pointers..ppl???
Now got this message from TM-XLRI, earlier msg was from DM-XLRI
"Dear Candidate, Application Number -XAT******, your XLRI application for has been received by the admission office and has been reconciled"

dude ...this is definetely not the way to respond to the seniors who take their time out to help us....
he might be mentioning the exam pattern with out considering the essay time
he not only wrote XAT but converted his call (see below his avatar)

Just got the msg stating "send in normal envelope ................"
After tracking my speed post the docs were delievered on 21st nov.
Awaiting for the third msg .......
I think ,they should not have send the bulk messages and
should have proper Application status tracker to see which part of the Application process is under processing
Probably too much to ask for 😃
