In AIMCATs, variation is even higher. Scored mostly in the range of 84 to 96%ile.

Prashant and i am working in an IT company for last 11 months . This is my 2nd attempt (1st was in 2009, didn't sit for any exam last year)

Season 2009 - Didn't posted my scores that season. Had joined CL and Time test series. Used to get mostly in 70-85 %ile range, highest being 92%ile. Had a aweful outing in VA most of the times with very less clue about the section (just like Raina having in England these days while facing bouncers ). Was consistent in DI and QA (DI was batting power play for me, where i used to accelerate ).

Season 2011- Improved in VA as compared to last season ,need to work hard more to get consistent in this section. Overall score ranging between 80 and 96%ile.

2. Profession : I am a mechanical engineer and right now m working in a core mechanical engineering company in Marketing Deptt.( New Product Marketing).

3. Place of residence in Pune : Near Aundh

I started off with 94.55%ile in AIMCAT 1220( first AIMCAT of the season)
Since then I have seen it all ....from 60%ile to again 92-93%ile. Yet to cross the 95%ile barrier.

But, I consider my self as a dark horse.........I some how manage to do exceptionally well in the final exams(as per previous records)

Never attempted CAT before !!!!
GRE : 1390/1600
TOEFL:109
Was all set to go for M.S. but den introspected and decided against it. I feel that m meant to do an MBA ;)

X: 83.5 % (CBSE Board)
XII : 77.5 % (PCMB) (CBSE BOARD)
B.Tech : 74.5% (UPTU)

6. Extra Curricular (some imp ones 😉 ):
Played Taekwondo at state level during school time.
Won second Prize as college team (9 members) in SAE Baja Virtual Design Competition 2009 (with prize money of 2 lakhs, got none of dat :()
Got an appreciation award during on job training (was the first G.E.T. of my batch to get an award) for organizing koel participation in SMM India events , single handedly.

2010 -> CAT'10 - 86.xx %ile (58.xx %ile in VA 😞 ) Had I not opted for job at the last moment then I would have definitely scored much better.
CET'11 - 93.39 %ile

5. Miscellaneous information (but relevant) - Being a bit weak in VA troubles me at times while solving the MockCATs but as this time its VA/LR in one section, LR is helping me in increasing my score in this section. :)
Also QA/DI being in one section are lowering the number of questions I usually attempted for these sections independently. :(

Let's hope everything goes well this year and I get into one of the top MBA colleges.. 😃
