.....I could not find the chocolates on the table. I was eagerly searching for them. :):) any one from Mumbai who offered chocolates after the interview.
From Last year exp thread I can see there were lot many ppl's who offered chocolates were able to convert the interview....
That's odd. From what I've read, no one in delhi (where I had my process) was offered chocolates. Maybe that was last year.
And you definitely are at an advantage with your workex. I'm yet to come across an mba insti. that doesn't prefer work ex people. Though my experience is limited to the 6 processes that I attended. 😃
Can anyone tell me is there any advantage of work ex of more than 36 months in case of XLRI? as much i have seen the profile of current batch as well last year batch most common work exp was between 12-24 months.
One more thing; I had my interview in Mumbai on 10th March I could not find the chocolates on the table. I was eagerly searching for them. :):) any one from Mumbai who offered chocolates after the interview?

This is little bit out of the track so that we can all remind the interview exp once again. Anything else which anyone noticed during his or her interview then pls share
now what's this toffee scene??? I didnt see any toffee tray in Mumbai interviews!!! these are tales, I believe!!
The toffee you pick reveals the kind of personality you are.
Its a psychology test conducted by profs and validate their opinion based out of the intw. Suppose bowl of chocolates are lying in front of you and you pick the toffee which is in a corner, it implies you are careful with your choice and understand what is required for you.
And instead you pick some random chocolate with eyes on profs and not on bowl, it implies you either lied n the intw or dont like chocs but just taking it.
ye toffee wali baat is little hard to digest...its has too much of luck factor involved in it...say if i pick a red chocolate cause i like red color the most...if they have made their mind dat red chocolate is picked up by people who are pessimist and blah-blah.....dat means no matter how good i perform as per there theory m doomed....nd vice-versa...and its very difficult to be choosy about toffees there cause as a matter of fact its just a toffee nd nothing more...and if i look too deep into it forgetting about what has happened in the interview so far it might off-set my rhythm as well...it might well be given just to check your confidence level as in when u pick up a toffee ur hands r shaking or not nd such things...and don't think it plays a bigger part than this...

Guys i started this discussion of toffee n all so that we can just chill and relax till the time result comes its just to share some light moments of urs intrviews
I trust it was d stress interview for all of us but still i believe v can figure out some chill out thing out of it.
jo hona tha ho chuka hai we all have discussed the tough parts of our interviews now lets discuss some light part
Chill puys, enough with the discussion on toffees. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the results but I guess we should stop one step before analyzing toffees situation in interviews. Nothing can be done except wait for the results, no matter how long it takes for em to come.

The funniest part was the GDPI process. There was this one guy (he had an 89 percentile, believe it or not :lookround:), he asked the group whether we knew who karunannidhi was...
and 10 mins into the discussion , he shouted loudly... lets Summarize... all of us were likr wtf..

How's that possible? XL has clearly mentioned that min. percentile needed for PMIR call was 91 and for BM was 92. Lucky chap he seems to be to have gotten through is he actually did have 89.

These XL people need to maintain and update their database management systems properly me thinks. I was told that the first screw up also happened because of a problematic DBMS.

For all the toffee and choclate talk...guess wat puys . I managed to get a cream biscuit I think it was britannia treat. Bang in the middle of the interview the guy came with tea and biscuit for the profs . distracted , i gave an admiring glance to the biscuits and lo the prof offered me the one. After one courteuus refusal,i tuk it.
