I am quite amazed that being in top 50 colleges in india no thread has been created for army institute of management of calcutta.
It has a decent placement, nominal fess etc
so i am wishing to apply for it this year. All the puys who are applying for it post here and seniors please post some info about AIM.
Also answer our qurries.

as far as i knw it's thru CAT.....n cutoff for last yr was arnd 60%ile n it may b high if ur of non army backgrnd.......sme1 correct me if am wrong!!!

can we apply after cat results? and wat are placement details for 2009 batch?

No for Army candidates its much less. The figure you gave is for general candidates.
I've applied as well. Let's see . It's going to be very very tough competition as there are only 24 seats for general!

b'dy u'll get a call for sure.......strt prep for gd/pi.......normally dey release da shortlisted candidates list 10-15 days after declaration of result.......n one AIMK senior tld me dat gd/pi will b conducted bw 22-25 march!!!

Weightage for GD is 20%, PI is 30% and CAT Score is 50%........so u hav a very gud chance of converting da call..........pi cn cover ny topic incl current affairs,ur hobbies,acads..........n also da usual WHY MBA types!!!

b'dy as far as i knw cutoff is generally 50%ile for army catg.......so u shud gt a call widout ny hassels but for convertin it u'll hav to giv a rockin gd/pi........best of luck for ur preparations:)

thanks to amit3125 for starting this thread....i have also applied in army category...however my score is 50.5....and ve 2 yrs of experience...do u think ..i can get a call....i am so helpless and depressed...i need to get into this year for MBA....pls suggest something...

bro it's too close to call for u.......cutoff cn b nythng bw 50-55%ile(generally it's 50)........so hope for da best n keep ur fingers crossed..........n am really skeptical whether dey consider workex for givin calls.......i'll ask a few seniors der regd dis n will try to clarify it soon!!!

no bro i was one of da aspirant for dis clg like u(before convertin my SIMS call)......bt i've a few frens studyin der......all my data comes frm dem only!!

Thanks bro....u keep on doin the good work...all da best ..n i got deflected this year on SIMS by 2 mrks...just got 64.5..hence aim is the only hope....

aim noida has askd 2 mail thm cat scorecards.list will b out by 15 march fr aim noida..no notifications from aimk yet..any idea abt it?

Do they consider CAT score for selecting? I got 86.07%ile. Do I have a chance? General category. :banghead:
