THE SOIL ADVANTAGE

SOIL Post Graduate Program in Management Key Differentiators:

Carefully chosen faculty – Through regular interactions with carefully chosen industry leaders, mentors and academics our students are encouraged to lead themselves & enable others. Students at SOIL are also taught by faculty how to create value for themselves and to transform the ordinary into extraordinary. The aim is for students to imbibe what it takes to be a leader who is not only competent but who has the humility, wisdom, compassion and ability to inspire others. The SOIL faculty comprises top-notch resident and visiting faculty who have the passion to ignite the love of learning in their students.

Cutting Edge Curriculum Design – The PGPM one-year curriculum offers the same learning as a 2-year program in just 1 year. Term 1 provides a comprehensive and intense grounding in business fundamentals while Terms 2 & 3 offer specialization in Marketing, Finance, HR & Analytics. This year a new specialization in Digital is also offered. SOIL uses the Harvard case study approach, applied learning, self-reflection, Group learning projects and industry action learning projects extensively to provide relevant real-life experiences to all students. Using participant centric learning, our emphasis is on building leaders. With more than 90 courses offered across all 3 terms the curriculum rigor is more intensive than other B schools in India.

Career & Placement Services – The Career Services Office (CSO) provides personalized guidance to every student, equipping them with the right skills, tools and knowledge to identify and leverage key strengths and prepare them to get industry ready once they graduate from SOIL. Interview preparation, Group Discussion, Resume Writing, Networking Events, Leadership Series and Pre-Placement talks are organized extensively by the CSO.

Industry Mentoring – Every SOIL student is assigned two mentors – a senior industry leader and an internal faculty member, to seek guidance on academic, personal and career development. This provides students the chance to build their network; and achieve their learning and career goals.

Individual Learning Plan – A personalized learning plan is created for every student in consultation with their mentors, basis the student’s Psychometric Profile and Behavioral Interview feedback to help maximize their learning potential. The learning plan is reviewed on a monthly basis for sustained development throughout the learning year.

Social Innovation Program with NGOs – The Social Innovation Program aims to foster social responsibility in our future student leaders. Through SIP, students spend one day of the week with a partner NGO, helping them solve real-life social problems and developing ‘capacity’ to do more with less.

Self-Leadership – As a part of the self-leadership module conducted by top industry leaders, students identify their true calling through a self-drawn life-map with clearly defined goals. Through this, students gain perspective on what it means to lead, to motivate others and to drive change. Additionally, annual events such as the Himalayan learning retreat, theatre values workshop, practice of morning circle and positive appreciations give students a once in lifetime experience to develop leadership qualities.

Return on Investment – Alumni consistently rate the SOIL PGPM Program as a career defining life changing program.  Given the benefits of a one-year program and the salaries before and after the PGPM Program, students define the Return on Investment (ROI) as the best and among the top MBA programs in India.

SOIL is a journey that prepares you for a life time of learning and leadership excellence.
