RPSC Assistant Engineer Exam 2018 Result

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is the committee that administers and organises exams and also conducts recruitment drives for recruiting employees to the various government departments of the Rajasthan State government. This incorporates the enrolment of Clerical cadre (Now gave over to RSMSSB) and the enlistment in Rajasthan Administrative Service (R.A.S) and Rajasthan Police Service (R.P.S). The enrolment to RAS, RPS, RTS and Rajasthan Sub-ordinate Services is made through a test RAS/RTS Competitive Exam composed by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). The RPSC office is situated at Jaipur Road, Ajmer, Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission was set up on 16th August 1949. The council comprises of 5 members – 1 chairman and 4 members.

In 2018, the announcement for recruitment came up in April 2018 and the application process was held until the end of May 2018. The examinations were conducted between 16th and 18th December. Around 900 (916 to be precise) vacancies for the assistant engineer post for PWD, PHED, and WRD were announced in the Panchayati Raj department. The Assistant engineer exam was conducted to fill in vacancies for various trades that includes Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Agriculture, etc. The announcement for recruitment came up in April 2018 and the application process was held until the end of May 2018.

The dates of examinations for the Rajasthan Public Service Commission Assistant engineer exam were as follows:

  1. General paper – 16/12/2018 (10 am to 12 pm)
  2. Civil Engineering paper – 16/12/2018 (2pm to 4pm)
  3. Electrical Engineering paper – 17/12/2018 (10am to 12pm)
  4. Mechanical Engineering paper – 17/12/2018 (2pm to 4pm)
  5. Agriculture paper – 18/12/2018 (10am to 12pm)

The answer key for the Assistant Engineering written exam is available online for candidates to cross verify and approximately calculate their probable marks in the exam. The results are available for all the various exams conducted between 16th December 2018 and 18th December 2018 across all codes of the question papers for the different subjects.

The tentative date that has been given for the announcement of pre-cut off marks for the examinations is the first week of February 2019 along with the pre-results of Assistant Engineer examination conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission in December 2018.

The results for the examination can be either announced through the local dailies or through other local media or through the official website of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) by the council. Candidates are advised to keep a constant check on the website as well as the other local content published in the state of Rajasthan for any updates regarding the same. They can expect an announcement around the two-month mark of their date of examination.

The candidates can check their result using their Date of Birth (DOB) and their Roll number in the examination upon announcement and receive their scorecards from the official website. The qualifying marks for each subject will be announced as the cut-off marks for that section and the candidates. The category-based qualification marks stand for 50% for General and the Other Backward Classes and has not yet been defined for Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribes.
