Haryana is an ideal destination for students seeking higher professional education. Haryana is home to many institutes of repute like the Indian National Defence University, Kurukshetra University, IIT Delhi (Sonepat Campus), NIT(Kurukshetra) and IIM (Rohtak).

This year the admissions to undergraduate engineering courses available at various engineering colleges will be conducted by Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) for only those students who have valid JEE Main 2016 scores. The Haryana State Technical Education Society is under the Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana.

This year, admission to engineering colleges in Haryana will be based on JEE(Main) 2016 scores and the Class XII scores of the candidate in the ratio 60:40. The JEE (Main) 2016 paper and pen mode exam has been scheduled on 03/04/2016 whereas the online objective paper will be held on 09/04/2016 and 10/04/ 2016. This 3-hour paper will assess students’ knowledge in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. The paper will have 90 questions worth 360 marks. Every correct answer will earn you 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The Jind Institute of Engineering & Technology is based in Jind and is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University. The institute was established in 1998 and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

The institute has all the necessary infrastructure like a labs, library, workshops, transport facility, auditorium, seminar hall and sports infrastructure.

The college has a training and placement cell to guide students during internships and final placements. The college conducts personality development programs, Mock Interviews and Skill Development training for the benefit of the students.
