JEE Mains 2016: Result to be out on April 27 2016

JEE

The wait will soon be over for lakhs of engineering aspirants who took the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains in the offline and online mode held on April 3, 9 and 10 this year. The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), authorities which conducted the exam, will announce the result on April 27, 2016. The top two lakh JEE aspirants will be selected for JEE Advanced. The all-India merit list will be declared on June 30, 2016.

With just a day to go, some aspirants seemed tensed while others were relaxed. The recently released OMR sheets and answer keys have given most of them a fair idea of how they have fared in the exam. The ambiguity expressed by CBSE officials over the alleged wrong questions and the possible bonus marks are the only thoughts that have given some hope to the aspirants and their parents.

“I am not tensed for the results as I have a comfortable score of 275 according to the JEE Mains official answer key. I started my revision for JEE Advanced immediately after my Mains. However, I have bookmarked the JEE website, and I am eagerly waiting for the results,” said Sanket Choudhary.

Another JEE aspirant , said, “I am nervous. I have a score of 98 according to the official answer key. I was expecting a score of at least 140. As of now, I am relying on the probable bonus marks. I have challenged two questions.”

The parents are an anxious lot as well. “We are satisfied with her performance, and we know that she will make the cut, but I am a little worried considering the fate of the challenged answers because that will have a tremendous impact on the merit list,” said Preeti Thakkar, mother of an aspirant.

Those who clear JEE Mains will qualify for JEE Advanced scheduled to be held on May 22, 2016. The registrations for JEE Advanced will begin from April 29 and end on May 4.
