IIT-M launches JEE Advanced 2017 portal

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-M) launched the official portal for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2017. IIT-M, the organising institute for JEE Advanced 2017, released the list of important dates, eligibility criteria, academic programmes, etc on the portal.

April 27, 2017 – JEE Main result

May 21, 2017 – JEE Advanced exam

June 11, 2017 – JEE Advanced result

June 19, 2017 – Seat Allotment process to begin (tentative)

About 13 lakh candidates registered for JEE Mains 2016, out of which the top 2,00,000 candidates qualified for Advanced. Approximately 1,55,948 candidates registered for JEE Advanced 2016. However, in 2017, the top 2,20,000 candidates (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in JEE Main, will qualify for Advanced, 2017.

On the basis of their All India Rank in JEE Advanced, candidates can secure admissions across 23 IITs. In the past, other institutes have also taken admissions on the basis of Advanced results. Candidates may contact the following institutes directly for additional information.
