Admissions to undergraduate engineering courses available at various engineering colleges in Jharkhand is conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

Jharkhand has many institutes of repute like Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, Xavier Institute of Social Sciences (XISS), Ranchi and Xavier Labour Research Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur and NIT, Jamshedpur.

This year, admission to engineering colleges in Jharkhand is based on JCECE (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) 2016. The exam will be conducted in both online and pen and paper based format. The exam will assess students’ knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The 3 hours examination will have objective type questions and will consist of 50 questions each on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each question will carry 1 mark each and there will be no negative marking for an incorrect answer.

The Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus is based in Bokaro. The institute was established in 2010 under the aegis of Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society. The institute is affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

The institute has all the necessary infrastructure like modern classrooms, labs, library, seminar halls, hostel facilities, auditorium and transport facility.
