The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is set to take place on 8th December 2019. Thus the candidates willing to apply should do so fast because the last date for making the application is 30th September 2019. The applications can only be made through the online mode.

CTET, which is organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), is a very important exam for aspiring teachers. The application for CTET has been going on since 19th August 2019 while the last date for fees payment has been extended to 3rd October 2019. All candidates who are yet to pay their application fee should thus finish up the process at the earliest.

For understanding the procedure for application, candidates need to follow some simple steps that are mentioned below. They are advised to read the steps carefully before starting the application process –

  1. Visit the official website

The official website of CTET is www.ctet.nic.in This is the only source for making the application and any other links or website must not be used. By clicking on the given link, candidates will be redirected to the homepage of CTET.

  1. Click on the correct link

On the homepage of CTET, candidates should select the correct link. There are several links pertaining to recent news and notifications. For applying for CTET, the candidates must click the link that reads “CTET 2019 Apply Online”.

  1. Fill in the details

As the form opens up, candidates must be very careful and meticulous while filling in their details. They should double check spellings, spacing, numbers or any other possible mistakes. While applying, candidates are also suggested to make a note of the Registration/ Application number, which is an important requisite for future purposes such as downloading the admit card.

  1. Upload the documents

After the details, candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of their photograph and signature. This must be done very carefully and according to the guidelines prescribed by CTET. Mistakes can create difficulty and even lead to failure in processing the application.

  1. Make the payment

The payment for CTET application form is only possible through the online mode. Candidates can use their debit card, credit card or net banking for the payment process. Without the payment, the application will not be valid.

  1. Printout

Candidates should take a printout of the e-challan and the confirmation page for future references. Once done, the application process is now complete.

The CTET exam which will take place in December will have two papers, Paper-I and Paper-II. The first paper will be conducted in the morning session whereas for the second paper will be in the evening session. Candidates are suggested to reach their examination centre at least 90 minutes before the exam begins.

If candidates successfully crack CTET, they will be eligible for the schools under central government like Kendriya Vidyalayas, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools etc. They will also be eligible for the schools under the administration of the Union Territories of India.
