All the best to those who have got a call...
friend St. Xaviers campus is a 5 minute walk from the VT station. ask anybody in mumbai and they'll direct you to the VT station. i was at St. Xaviers for my FMS exam so i know. my interview for XLRI is at XIM mumbai too on 25th 1140. Best of luck.
Hey dude u gonna feel better when u hear u did not miss by a whisker ..... i did
TOTAl 99.23 verbal 98.65 gk 96.61 quant 94.08
and if u don't believe me i'll send u myxat id and password
wanna killem as of now...
dude my heart goes out to ya. your only sin seems to be that you got 94.08 in quant. hey man that's a decent perc fron any angle. am i glad that at just0.04 perc ahead of you (99.27) i hav got a call (for PMIR) the only other factor that doomed you could be that you don't visit your god often.:wow:
i believe that neither the date of ur interview nor ur percentile matters to a grt extent at this stage...u make a nice impression on the panel...give a grt intrvw....ur thru....similarly if someone has an excellent percentile but screws up the intrvw will not be selected...so the stakes involved are definitely high...but so are the rewards...
for qns on what might be asked during the intrvw chk out the threads regd. XL interviews....

hey cool_peebs i wanna ask u one thing. in the list of companies that i saw visiting XLRI for placements in the last 3 years i could see every major company in india which is worth its salt. I've got a call for PMIR. what i wanted to know is which of these companies come for PMIR and if so do some of these companies come specifically for PMIR or do they pick up some students from both the courses. further, what is the nature of profiles these companies offer to PMIR students. and i saw that 2/3rd of the core courses are same for both the course so is there any chance that PMIR students get a job in any non-HR profile.
ur response would help me prepare better for my interview. anybody else who can enlighten me on this matter is welcome.
companies recruit depending on the requirements that they have for that specific year...yes some companies come specifically for PM-IR ,some only for BM and some for both....for example companies like Mercer take only PM-IR students...
Some of the profiles offered are Internal HR ,HR consulting(Hewitt,Mercer) etc
PM-IR students who get into companies like TAS(Tata Adminstrative Services) etc can get into non-HR positions....
some of the core courses in the first yr are same i.e BM students end up reading subjects like PMIR ,Business law etc where as PM-IR students have to read stuff like Quantitative techniques,Accounting etc...gives u a much more holistic view of the entire thing...

hi, i have to reach LIBA from chennai central station. please tell me if autorickshaw will b available at around 5-5.30 in the morning??
Hi All, I think I am amongst the last to be interviewed.
The date is : 8th of March , Time : 4:20 PM , Venue : Loyola Chennai.
My current location : Bangalore , Overall Percentile score : 96.3, Programme applied for : BM
Work Ex: 2.5 years(Software) , Background : BE Comp Science
1) Is there any1 else from Bangalore having the XL interview on the same date? Please PM me, so that we can travel together.
2) Does such a late interview indicate chances dimming? (Its the case with normal campus interviews that, later the interview is scheduled , dimmer are ur chances)
3) What are the kind of questions I might be asked?
Please do message back!!
hey howmanymoreexams, can u giv the split of ur percentiles plzz

hey man.. autos are available 24 hrs at central but like somebody's already said u'll hafta pay thro ur nose.. the easiest and the most economic way to reach liba from central wud be thro the suburban trains.. get off at central and the "PARK" station's right across the road... get a ticket for "NUNGAMBAKKAM" station adn get off there... then u'll be right at the LIBA campus... well if u still wanna pay the auto guys then dont blame the chennaites.. we've told u wat we had ta say .. he he.. all the best anyways..
