I think he is in WL and hoping against hope to get a coveted seat at XL.
Guyz, do call up the XLRI admissions office and conform the receipt of your demand draft/bank pay slip and the declaration form. Because I actually sent my documents on 30th april. So I was quite confident that it should have reached XLRI by 2nd or 3rd. But today I called up the admissions office and it seems that the documents has not yet reached XLRI. So now they have asked me to fax a copy of the DD and the filled in declaration form. I have done that and I have also mailed them a scanned copy of the DD and the form.
And when I contacted the courier office they said that the bundle has reached Jamshedpur only today, so they will try and deliver it by today or maximum by tomorrow. Hope this delay wont affect my XL seat.

a) MDI is apparently a government school
b) the most prob ranking would be XLRI>SPJIMR>MDI...

yep i tried that...it either doesnt even ring and gets cut...or it says add std code bfore dialling though iv added 0657...or it says this number is temporarily out of service....been trying since 3:30 !!

Dont worry Buddy, thats the same for everyone..Just need to keep on trying...that useless redirection towards "Kripya put the area std code of the Town" is something that everyone gets at times..this is usual..
So just keep on redialing..and you will get through..
But just take care of one thing..I think the admission office closes by 5 pm(you should check) so keep on trying till 5 pm, still half an hour left..

Dont worry at all, you could call the admissions office tomm morning,
that should not be a problem just keep on trying.
Usually there is a high probability of getting them between 2:30 - 3:30 pm (just out experience, havent created a mathematical model to find this solution..
)So dont worry at all guys..
Just to be on a safer side,
a)MAIL:-if u were not able to check with admissions office over phone regarding the reciept of your acceptance letter, Just drop them a mail today(before 12) stating the details of your payment, and the acceptance letter ,
b)FAX:-also am not sure if you can get the fax tone now but if you can, fax them a copy of your (Pay-in-slip/Draft/or online payment) ..if thats not feasible today..do this tomorrow morning.

trust_is_power Saysrite....even that happened with one of the person in my HRM group as well.he was tall and he was asked about his height.it may be a reason though m not sure about it..people talk about profiles even after having a decent GD and a good PI..if some one with grad % less than 50 can make it to XL based on his good score and even better GD/PI even i am not sure about how much is this profile part carraying the weightage..btw heartiest congos to all those deserving people and the waitlisted people who made it to one of the BIGGIS....hope you all will do well in future..
I saw the batch taking admission last yr in XL. I am 5'8".....but could see the majority (almost 90%) students taller than me (applicable for both BM & HR). Height may not be all that they might be looking for.....but it definitely forms part of a managers personality and looks. May be they have allocated some marks for that. Whether right or wrong ...is a matter of debate.

may be u r not all false.....i had a horrible interview (BM) acads not much to boost about and percentile 94.. but i am W/Led 92 ... didn't expect that at all.. may be the height factor showed some luck..... m 6'4" .......

Guys really sorry if my post has spread panic among you all. I never intended to do that. I thought my post would help some of you out there whose couriers have not yet reached the admissions office.

My stupid courier service is unable to check if the docs reached XLRI even though i sent them on the 27th of April. And noone was picking XLRI call the whole evening. Never thought itll come to this. Its gonna be a tense night till i can call them tomo morning and check with XL. Hope i dont get rejected cos of courier delay. 😞

This is for all those 'Pareshan Atmas' who are in similar situation. Please chill and don't worry about the rejection. The admission office of XL is very co-operative and they will accept ur money
even if post is delayed by 1-2 days. Anyways the wait list movement will take at least 2-3 days to come and any DD reaching before that will be accepted.I suggest u to call them tomorrow and if they are not picking the call then just fax/mail them the copy of DD.

Thanks for calming quite a few nerves here...I also felt the same about XL from my interview experience where the esteemed interview panel waited for about 7-10 minutes for a single candidate to arrive...they are seriously co-operative and now that it has been ratified by a senior would give a good nights sleep to many tensed souls.:cheerio:
