I am asked to attend an informal meeting with a current student. 😃 I understand from the posts here that this is to evaluate if I am a fit for the MBA program. I would be joining UIUC graduate college to pursue MS degree (Not MBA). Was trying to find admitted students and could not find better place than pagalguy.
PM me if interested to catch up - MS or MBA - we would be going to same place for higher studies ! So no harm in knowing each other :)

I have been offered a place on the waitlist of Illinois MBA. Can you please share ideas on how the process works for waitlisted candidates. Is it very close to rejection or.... Any ideas on this would be helpful at this hour of anxiety..

Received interview invite. Interviewed and communicated the decision - Waitlisted for admission...so now wait!!
Can anyone on the forum help me know when is the next date for committment fee payment for admitted applicants. May be, this will make the picture more clear for waitlisted candidates like me.
Hi- Waitlisted after interview....I think they have less seats available now and more candidates in pipeline...hence they might take a decision after interviewing all the candidates...
In the mail it states waitlist process might go till June or July but my question is if we get a decision in June or July....we will not be able to get Visa and other documents in place to attend fall session this year
I got waitlist without interview. So, I got in touch with current student who has posted in this thread.. He said the school is not keen on taking indian students as of now and is concentrating on europe n china...I asked him whether I can set up a meeting with Ben... He said, Ben is in china to recruit china students and wont get back to you in near future.... These were his words...
I was so frustrated with this that I even do not look at this thread...
I was so following this school and wanted to get into this one but now have no hopes...
This is not a holistic review process followed by the school...
Yes, there would be admits for indian students in the second round only if you do not belong to the curse called INDIAN IT MALE APPLICANT WITH WHATEVER GMAT SCORE YOU HAVE !! Now I ask myself why the hell I did engineering and went into this IT industry !!
I also got to know that gals are being preferred to boys just to show better numbers :sneaky:
So, those wait listed, there are gonna be at least 50 wait listed applicants fighting for one or two seats left out by our fellow desis... So, there is no point in keeping any hopes

I got my admit mail yesterday !! With a bit of $$ as well. 
So looking forward to getting in touch with the other admitted candidates.
