B tech rejections.then cut off kia
As per my guess
BE will be allowed bcz they don't have choice if BE students went to court.
There is no vacancies increase further.
Cut off for final selection will be
Gen - above 135
Obc - above 125
SC- above 115
ST - above 105
See Physics paper was very easy also CS. Most of physics students will not be in this group.
Most of seats will go to Physics students only.
Before abusing me regarding BE eligibility let me tell you I am diploma guy only.
PS. Don't post some irrelevant posts here friends or fake bcz this is about some aspirants life situation. Don't be like pakoda guy. Don't hurt anyone

the actual recruitment rules for scientific assistant is as follows. http://www.imd.gov.in/advertisements/20160209_advt_11.pdf
it shows the actual vacancies available as on 2016 as 1972. every year as per the imd website about 150+ scientific assistants are retiring and so far about 300 (guess only) must have retired. the total may go up to 1972 + 300 = 2272. In every met office there is a shortage of staff. so let expect an increase of vacancies in this current recruitment.

Hai guys , regarding IMD this news I got from one staff who is working in SSC DV for SSCJE . . . He said like , as of he knows there is no increase in vacancies and DV is done by SSC only with strict notified rules provided by IMD and also this will take much time minimum , approximately 3 to 5 months !! Eligiblity and all those will be as per notification provided in 2017 . . . . He said dont wait for this, since this got some issues in qualifications, so possiblity for case filing !! prepare for further exams like rrb , etc !! But this news he said what he known . . . .

The education qualification mentioned is "must be of 3 years duration and not atleast 3 years duration"
