ye to imd guguly maar diya ... jab subject wise cutoff aane ki baat sun aakho mai chamak aa gayi ..pata nahi baat sahi bhi hai ya galat ... but jis ladko ko dono subject avg aata hota ...wo bahut gariyaega imd ko ..vaccency subject wise pahle bata dete ..uss hisab se wo deta ...

All Btech claims that they are also bachelor degree but they are bachelor of technology not bachelor of science. In the notification it is clearly mentioned that qualification must be bachlelor of science. In 2011, ssc gave clarification notice regarding BE,BTech eligibility. This time it was not happend. So at the time of DV they will be out
I dont understand why there is so much quarrel about be/btech elligibility. In notification there is clearly written that either bsc or diploma can apply, nowhere they mentioned anything about be/btech. Actually not only imd exam, there are other exams too, where diploma is elligible btech is not, and in some exams btech elligible diploma is not. It depends on the position, btechs are considered for the higher level posts. These happen in drdo, isro. There are two seperate levels. The only thing is that if imd had clearly mentioned that btech are not elligible then probably the confusion would have not arised. I think the final decision should rest on ssc to decide be/btech elligibility or subject wise cut off. People are mailing them, that also fine. But after the result doing court case is not fine at all. Afterall there was not any thing written in the notification what some people are madly asking.

Bachelor of Technology in ece, e&t ,computer science and it is eligible. It's confirmed by ssc. Have called them and they told us that above mentioned branches are eligible
