I know this platform is about exams and stuff, but I am facing a moral dilemma so please guys weigh in your thoughts ( and yes, brutal honesty won't hurt me so feel free to say anything). Couldn't sleep last night reading answers on Quora. Lemme give you a quick peek at my life --- B.tech Ece from a decent govt. college in Delhi (2016 passed= 24 on d.o.b calendar) , jobless bcoz didn't wanna learn coding in the first place ( I enjoy more human interaction than slogging algos in a competitive environment and) and didn't go for an m.b.a either. I wished to be an IAS or even at IB etc.. but have not tasted success yet ( cleared pre, failed mains, cleared mains failed interview, failed pre altogether so seen all scenarios). Note: I have a good rank in SA IMD so selection is definite as of now, but here comes the big brunt -- I was viewing answer on equality in marriage, love etc and package of 50 lpa...which were trending on Quora. The thing that hit me was that people are earning 30,40,50 lpa in huge numbers, I am churning for SA IMD (as of now the only ray of hope) which would only give me 5-7 lpa with pros such as stagnation and the label of group B on my head. Hear me out, the anwers there were so terrifying and more so bcoz I witness that in reality nowadays. I am writing this more so to target those who have IT background and are now in the pecking order for marriage, so guys please do answer what u feel! Most of the women working at 5> lpa don't even prefer govt servants, and the notion has been even more tragic. They feel that the Alpha male is the one who writes algos instantly, pitches sales and marketing to become Elon Musk and buys a bentley like "tamatar-pyaaz" in subzi mandis, and they call it love being practical.(??????????) I know this is getting long and perhaps I should stop yet I have so much to ask and no one to tell ( I have friends but I am really a task at hand person so my interaction with them are laconic and few, btw some of them are working in IT). More or less what i want to know is where does the common man go? Where is the common woman? And more so even if get this job what's the future scope ? I know that it requires special skills and brand tags of IIT IIMS to earn those lpa, but can't a CEO fall for an auto-driver ? And what if he/she does? If you feel that I am a loser who feels all this bcoz don't have a gf or in a relationship, you might be right, but I am only human. And the reason why I wrote this is bcoz I also wanna point out the obvious frustration that IMD has caused, since that's what I fear that these gov't departments work like. No wonder the pay is pathetic and more or so the reason for modern educated urban kids to have disregard for govt. jobs. I can write so much more... but I guess I have done enough to piss you all off.....sorry but my emotions are haywire thesedays...
