serial no in dv/2 = your rank in each catagory.
if 1102 vacancies is there then appox. 523 (47.5%) ur,297 (27%)obc,165(15%) sc, 82(7.5), st 33(3%) ph .
then person having serial no up to 1100 (one day 47 *11=517 students in ur (ur means whose marks is above general cut off irrespective of catagory, example obc students getting 140 marks treated as general if he/she doesnot take age relaxation.)(one day 27*11= 297 obc having marks less the ur cutoff,)(15 *11=165 sc having cut off marks below ur)( 7*11=77 st having cut off marks below ur)(11*3 =33 st having cut off marks below ur) will be selected.
the students getting higher marks than ur cut off will be treated as genral.
the dv list is purely on the basis of merit list catagory wise.
so magic serial no=1100 to final selection.
