A friend of mine says : there are no jobs. I said there are jobs but there are no graduates who are employable. According to a Nasscom report, 5 lakh Engineers pass out every year. You will be amazed to know that only 27% (1,35,000) of the 5 lakh Engineers are Employable. 'Emloyable' means suitable for work. You must be wondering why? I will tell you why because these engineer lack basic technical skills and communication skills. You will be amazed to know that most of the Engineers can't even write an application even though our engineering is taught in English, what an irony. This is not the fault of students who are pursuing engineering, this is the fault of those who are teaching engineering. Instead of giving practical knowledge, they emphasize theoretical knowledge. Have you ever wondered why most of the sports car are manufactured in Europe(BMW in Germany, Porsche in Germany, Ferrari in Italy, Lamborghini in Italy, etc.) not in India? or have you ever heard of any sports car brand from India? Because Real engineering is taught over there. Because we Indians take admission into Engineering just to get Degree, not knowledge. I blame the system who is good at making money not good at making Skilled Engineers.
