First time giving SSC CGL, help to crack Tier 1 and 2
tier 1 qualifng means one needs to clear a min cutoff for appearing in second stage...but marks obtaind in tier 1 will b added for final merit....just like old pattrn...

Guys nd gals u can relate this post with the changes introduced by the SSC:- The advantage you have yesterday, will be replaced by the trends of tomorrow. You don’t have to do anything wrong, as long as your competitors catch the wave and do it RIGHT, you can lose out and fail. To change and improve yourself is giving yourself a second chance. To be forced by others to change, is like being discarded. Those who refuse to learn & improve, will definitely one day become redundant & not relevant to the competitive world . They will learn the lesson in a hard & expensive way..... Gd mrng!!!

Is tier 1 of qualifying nature??? Total marks is 500 or 700?

It is clear that total marks is same for all Grade Pay post (except Statistical Investigator which will be a 900 marks exam) i.e., 2400, 2800, 4200, 4600.
SSC cgl exam pattern changed.....tier1+2+3...../tier 1.....qualifying in nature 100 question of 200 marks....easc section has 25 question.... No sectional cut off.....tier 2.....and they included tier 3....eassy writting

What is there to confuse about? You need to qualify all three tiers separately to appear in the subsequent tier and final merit will be based on all three tier. There will be no sectional cut off.
SSC CGL 2016: Major changes in exam pattern
Dear Puys,
Staff Selection Commission has decided to change the pattern of SSC CGL 2016 exam. As per their latest notification, SSC has brought major changes in Tier I of the exam. Also, SSC has introduced a descriptive test as Tier III of the exam. As we know, the SSC CGL 2016 exam will be a computer based exam in place of OMR sheet based examination mode. So, let's go through the revised scheme of the exam.
Tier I :
a) The number of questions are reduced from 200 to 100.
b) These 100 questions are worth 200 marks. Each question is of worth 2 marks.
c) These 100 questions are to be solved within 75 minutes.
d) There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in Tier-I.
Tier II:
a) There is no change in the exam pattern and scheme of marks of Tier II.
b) Tier II will also be computer based exam.
c) In Tier II, there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks in Paper I, 0.25 marks in Paper II. In paper III, negative marking will be 0.50 marks.
Tier III
a) The descriptive paper will be bilingual which will be available in English/Hindi. While appearing, candidates will be provided with an option to choose any one medium of language.
b) The Tier III paper will be consist of Essay writing, Precis, Letter and application writing, etc.
c) Tier III exam will be pen and paper based exam.
Tier IV (Wherever applicable):
a) Tier IV will be a Data Entry skill test or Computer Proficiency Test which will be of qualifying nature.
Final result scheme:
a) The final merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III.
b) Candidate's need to qualify in all the tiers separately.
c) There will be no sectional cutoff in Tier I,II and III.
Candidate's should take this change of pattern into the consideration while preparing for the exam. The SSC CGL 2016 Tier exam is scheduled on 27th August, 2016. Dear all.. what about AAO in CAG.? Will paper 4 in Tier-2 be there exclusively for this or it has been removed in new pattern ? Its not mentioned clearly. This year AAO matters a lot having about 1000 vacancies...

Darr sectional cutoff ka tha... Jo nhi h .. ... Isse jyada paper humne LKG me diye h.... Usme sala drawing v tha.... Fatte chakk dewange..Burrrraaaahhhh 😝
What is the syllabus of tier 2??? Same as tier 1or only English and maths??
