Has decided to in increase vacancy in these departmentss specially in revenue dep. till 2017 ( cgl 2016 joining time). मोदी सरकार दो साल में करेगी 2.20 लाख केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों की भर्ती 'मिनिमम गवर्नमेंट, मैक्सिमम गवर्नेंस' का नारा देने वाले प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की सरकार दो साल में करीब सवा दो लाख केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों की भर्ती करने जा रही है. यह फैसला सरकार के समय-समय पर केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों की भर्ती फ्रीज करने के आदेश के विपरीत है. आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, 1 मार्च 2015 को केंद्र सरकार एक्चुअल स्टाफ 33.05 लाख था जो एक साल में 34.93 लाख हो गया. मार्च 2017 तक ये संख्या बढ़कर 35.23 लाख होने का अंदाजा लगाया जा रहा है. इसमें रेलवे भी शामिल है, जिसने बीते तीन साल से एक भी कर्मचारी की भर्ती नहीं की है. रेलवे में फिलहाल 13,26,437 कर्मचारी हैं. हालांकि इन आंकड़ों में सुरक्षा बलों को शामिल नहीं किया गया है. सबसे ज्यादा भर्तियां राजस्व विभाग में टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, कर्मचारियों की संख्या में सबसे बड़ा इजाफा राजस्व विभाग में होगा. इसमें करीब 70 हजार नए कर्मचारियों को भर्ती किया जाएगा. इसके अंतर्गत इनकम टैक्स, कस्टम और एक्साइज डिपार्टमेंट भी आते हैं. केंद्रीय पैरामिलिट्री फोर्सेज में 47000 के करीब जवानों की भर्ती होगी. पैरा मिलिट्री फोर्सेज के अलावा गृह मंत्रालय में 6000 नई भर्तियां हुईं. ये है नई भर्तियों का आंकड़ा कामकाज में सरकार की मदद करने वाले कैबिनेट सचिवालय में 301 नए कर्मचारी रखे जाएंगे, जिससे यह आंकड़ा 2015 में 900 कर्मचारियों से बढ़कर 2017 में 1201 हो जाएगा. वहीं, बीते दो सालों में सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय ने करीब 2200 कर्मचारियों की भर्ती की है. इसी दौरान शहरी विकास मंत्रालय ने 6000, खनन मंत्रालय ने 4399 और अंतरिक्ष विभाग ने 1000 नए पदों पर भर्तियां की हैं. इस विभाग में घटाए गए कर्मचारी गौर करने वाली बात ये है कि एक ओर जहां कई विभागों में कर्मचारियों की संख्या बढ़ाई जा रही है, वहीं ग्रामीण विकास विभाग में कर्मचारियों की संख्या में कटौती की गई है. मार्च 2015 में विभाग में 538 कर्मचारी थे, जो 2016-17 में 472 हो गए. DELHI: 'Minimum government, maximum governance' has been one of PM Narendra Modi's catchiest slogans. But the Modi government is set to add more than two lakh
central employeesover a period of two years from March 1, 2015, despite the Centre's announcements from time to time on a freeze in fresh recruitments.
The central government's actual staff on March 1, 2015 was 33.05 lakh, which increased to 34.93 lakh in 2016 and is estimated to grow to 35.23 lakh by March 1, 2017, according to the budget estimates for 2016-17. This includes the railways - which has not added a single worker to its strength of 13,26,437 in the last three years - but excludes the defence forces.
The biggest increase of 70,000 is projected in the revenue department which comprises income tax and customs and excise, followed by central paramilitary forces, projected to rise by 47,000. The strength of the home ministry, excluding paramilitary forces, has increased by 6,000.
The cabinet secretariat, a fairly small department assisting the government, will add 301 employees, going up from 900 in 2015 to 1,201 by March 1, 2017. The I&B ministry added nearly 2,200 personnel in the last two years.
The personnel ministry, which manages government staff, added 1,800 jobs in the last two years, the urban development ministry 6,000, mines ministry 4,399 and department of space 1,000.
However, the financial allocation for salaries and allowances for the revenue department has not shown any major difference, for the reason that the department has not been able to recruit personnel due to slow progress in the cadre restructuring exercise.
Some departments have faced downsizing. Interestingly, there has been a cut in the department of rural development, the focus area of the government, where the strength has come down from 538 in 2015 to 472 in 2016-17.
A major reason for the spurt in hiring is that many departments faced acute staff crunch in Group B and C categories due to a moratorium on fresh recruitments for the past several years.
