My take on Post Preference:- Don't listen much to others. At the end , you should be satisfied. Keep in mind your priorities ( viz., UPSC prep., Power, Transfers etc. ) and go for it. I have seen face-book profiles of many persons who were in ITI and later they joined Excise Insp. What may be good for others might not work well for you. If someone wants to be gazetted ( AAO) or to wear a khakhi uniform ( excise) or anything else like home state, easy job etc etc , it must be his/her own choice.
I personally feel that one regrets less on one's own decision even if things go wrong, because the decision will be his/her own. So, keep in mind your own priorities and don't listen much to others ( ssc- tube , fb posts ). Every ssc job has pros and cons.. Select aisa karo jisse khud ko khushi mile... Maaza aana chahiye , at last.
