AAO ko hata dein aur assistant in other ministries na count krein toh ip posts 1925 se 1385 pr aa gyi hain iss bar.a reduction of more than 28% .Also the marks have increased this time due to online pattern.So accordingly you can guess the marks at which you will get various posts.eg examiner posts are less than one third of 2015.so you need a rank of 369/3=123 maximum.meaning you should score 540+40=580.accordingly you can see for other posts.AAO posts have been added this time.So this analysis is not perfect.how many people choose aao over ip will also impact.

I think there should be reservation in armed forces (only in soldiers group not officer grade).
Government should do a survey to find % of people of different cateogary in armed forces. People are materalistic always.
1) SSC mein CBI last mein fill hoti hai because of tough life etc etc inspite ki diversity of work , salary sab achhi hai....
2)CDS mein SSB clear karke AIRFORCE log pehle because usmein life threat nahi hai. ARMY baad mein beacuse usmein tough life hai..etc etc
3) UPSC mein IPS after IAS because of same reason (Debatable though). You can do as constructive work as IAS, being an IPS.....
But inspite of that there are people who choose CBI , ARMY , IPS as first preference . They are not fool but they are the ones who know what they want from life.
I mean people have different preferences but one should respect people who choose tough life.

seeing cutoff predictions here in this thread is giving chills to me..got 459 in t-2..with an average tier-3(atleast 50+)...do i stand a chance for any post..it is must fr me to get something this yr to continue my preparation for upsc otherwise i will be devastated,family support dwindling and i dont have much courage to ask fr more help..please guide me..!!! i spend 2-3 hrs daily contemplating the above situation..even fr auditor some r projecting 520+ is it really possible fo get a job with 510 in worst case scenario???

Agar word limit exceeded karne walo ki copy check ni hui to mujhe lagta hai jitni vacancies hain vo fill karna mushkil ho jayega or phir cutoff 455 jayegi.
