Drug addiction refers to the condition of being addicted to a particular drug, particularly narcotic drugs. These are generally illegal drugs that affect the mood and behaviour of a person. It is a social evil in India. It is the tragedy of our days that millions of youth fall victims to the habit of taking drugs.
The reasons why a person gets addicted to these harmful drugs are many. Peer pressure, excessive stress, and lack of parental involvement in child’s activities are among the leading causes for drug addiction among the youth. Lack of self-confidence or inferiority complex has also been marked as a cause of one’s becoming a drug addict. Curiosities, desire for pleasure, social excommunication and lack of self-reliance are other causes for drug addiction.
Drug addiction among the people, especially the youth, can be prevented by raising the level of consciousness of self through proper education and awareness. Hence, drug abuse preventive programmes, if implemented effectively, particularly at schools and colleges, can become the most successful method to reduce and alleviate the problem of drug addiction among youth. In fact, those who thus become able to overcome their addiction can tutor other young addicts. The need of forming a healthy environment where the needs of these youth can be met is equally important. The trading of harmful drugs such as cocoa, opium, etc. should be properly controlled.
Drug addiction can only hinder or restrain one from accomplishing his goals or dreams in life. The youth who are the future citizens of a country and on whom will depend the future of a country, its welfare and welfare of its people, it becomes imperative to ensure that such boys and girls do not fall victims to drug addiction.

Dosto ..This is very shameful to say..I can,t expect it..One of my friend works as a Examiner CGL 2014...After working 2 years he ..Was now no more with this post..Reason...He is living in Delhi NCR...Before getting a job...In Mumbai ..He realized he has no future...Even he cannot buy...A single countable house...To live in ..And Intercity (..train )Problem there are people..... Choor hai saale..Even in mobile phone ..His mobile phone stealed yesterday...And ..He says there is also a water problem..50k in MUmbai..Is nothing ..Even he earn extra income .(corruption).He also struggling..In his Mumbai..But dosto..Examiner post achi bhut hai..par unke liye jo survive kar jayenge..Mein to SSC CGL 2016 se bhar hu ..Kabhi Ladke yeh kahe ki competition khatam karne ki baat hai....GOt 405 UR only. .for only.Apna...Bhala sabki bhalai...
Agar examiner ki vacancies aa jayein last time jitni toh kya 565(42 more than last year's cutoff) tk ja skti hai cutoff kisi chamatkar se?
