To all the GENERAL CATEGORY people.
The post is a bit lengthy, so please bear with me.
Friends first of all I don't want to disrespect or abuse anybody out here, just going to share few facts with everyone, because any opinion should be based upon logical and rational facts then only it will be appreciated and accepted. I truly believe this is the right time to share this , because just recently SSC cgl has announced the tier 1 results.
As I'm an SC guy, I'll talk only about the data I'm sure about. Based on tier 1 result, For any guy if his,
SC category rank 100= AIR 4632
SC category rank 500= AIR 18032(please check it from rank list)
So, the above numbers show the no of sc category student out of TOTAL students ,all categories combined (including general category)
So the % from above data comes out to be 2.16%, 2.77% . now important analysis is this ratio keeps on increasing as we go down the rank list.Now considering that most of the government exams like SSC, IBPS have 15000 seats, so on comparing we get, Just 2-3% sc students are there out of ~ 15000 students based upon their merit
So in other words just 2-3 % sc category students will be getting a job through SSC cgl if we snatch the reservation from SC students(point out if I'm wrong)
Now percentage of population in India based on caste is SC=19.7 %, ST= 5%, OBC = 41.1%,GENERAL=30.8(revised census report 2011, you guys should knowknow, questions were raised on the reliability of the data disclosed, higher officials were deliberately hiding data and there were accusations that data was modified, no offense, we know who occupies top positions in politics, administration, judicial in India) but that's not part of our discussion, so we know India has 19.7 % of sc population if we have to believe the census, but still 2-3 % will get a job if reservation is not granted, plz pay attention
Now, don't you think 2-3% and 19.7 are a bit far apart, there surely is some problem in our society because of which sc students are not able to compete with their counterparts, I sincerely understand and believe that some rich spoiled sc brats misuse the power of reservation, it has been more than 50 years of reservation but NUMBERS don't LIE. I have written this with an open mind and tried my best to remain unbiased even though you know my category, my only question is why is there so much HATE for reservation to sc,st guys, I don't know about other categories. Every now and then I come across some friends neglecting me because of my category, or post pictures trolling reservation in Facebook. And even if nobody cares for us and take our reservation, then how much impact that can have upon the selection of general category students in SSC or other exams when you know we are only 2-3 % out of total students. Simply put we'll not be able to survive.

today someone told me that normalization took place in tier 1 . marks of 1st day morning shift were decreased . and 2nd day evening were increased. Tough there is no proof , still i have met a few guys who were scoring more than cutoff coudn't clear and those of 2nd day evening clearing despite scoring less than cutoff for their categories ( sc,gen) Can someone file rti ?
Also can we file rti regarding the answer keys used for evaluating result..........

For committing that taboo, his father, a landless dalit farmer, had to feed all the upper-caste villagers and even pay them as penance. Mhaske cried. Today, he has completed his MPhil in land reforms from IIT Powai. Now in his village, no one refuses him water. He can even touch God. But, on the campus of the premier college, his surname haunts him.
He is among the many who face the humiliation every day of merit list students calling them chamar or meenagiri, references to menial tasks that their forefathers, and even fathers did. They feel powerless to protest against these insults. After all, they are accustomed to discrimination. Hall managers in the campus sneer at them as they pay their fees because they get concessions in accommodation and canteen food. "When I first entered the hostel, the hall manager asked me in front of everyone there, 'Why is the amount lower for you?'" says PhD student Nilratan Shende, who is researching starvation deaths and food security at IIT Powai. Quota students have to think twice before taking food from the canteen for their visitors because they face taunts like, "Taking excess food for the villagers?"
They are also scared to ask questions in English. When Nilratan Shende stood for the treasurer's position in a college in Mumbai, voters asked him, "Can you count from one to 10?" When a dalit student stood for the post of mess secretary in the Hyderabad university hostel, some years ago, students denounced him saying, "He is a dalit, he will eat money." Unable to excel in top institutes because of their discomfort with English and poverty-induced lack of confidence, they isolate themselves in the corners and watch the mainstream go by. When they perform well, they are mistaken for brahmins. .
