how and from where to prepare for Gk ?

i hv been told dat sumtyms after alloting a centre.. ssc changes the venue of exam suddenly before few days.. it happened with my bro last yr appearing  frm NR.. i hv been allotted jaipur and i hv already booked the tkts..i hope ssc doesnt spring up a surprise again this year.. hs any puy expereienced this thing???
