Vacancies were not increased because of gst. they were backlogs.
I have received the reply of my RTI in which I had asked SSC to provide the information on the following:
1. Vacancies as on date that are going to be filled through CGL 2014. They have shared the same list which is already been circulated.
2. Tentative date for the announcement of final result of CGLE 2014 - The CPIO (Under Secretary (P&P-I) (SSC-HQ.) has no information.

It could all be nonsense and it could b that he's trying to fool us ..has got frustrated by the calls ..but it could also mean that indeed result is being uploaded or waiting for some final formalities..

Friends 2 days back I posted on PG that if I get any info I will deliver it to u all but yes authenticated one... Today I called that person in SSC NER, he said that "SSC has not yet decided anything on the final results,it will take time". Meanwhile Mrs Zimik, wife of Director SSC NER gave this info after asking the director. Unfortunately the answer was disappointing, even I was shocked to hear. "SSC will take time to declare the final result. May be two more months". This is what I got to know. But still with a hope that some miracle happens.
I am now quiet sure the results will be announced in n the next loksabha elections
